OPPO unveils Agentic AI strategy at Google Cloud Next 2025

OPPO outlines its Agentic AI strategy at Google Cloud Next 2025, focusing on personalised experiences, AI Search, and secure user data processing.

OPPO has revealed its strategic direction for Agentic AI at Google Cloud Next 2025, strengthening its position as a leader in user-focused artificial intelligence experiences. The company outlined how in-house research and its collaboration with Google Cloud are fuelling advancements in AI technology for mobile users globally.

Jason Liao, President of the OPPO Research Institute, emphasised the company’s vision, stating, “OPPO’s focus has always been on the user, and our goal is very clear: to lead innovation in AI experience and provide the best experience.” He added that OPPO is consistently improving its AI capabilities by working closely with Google Cloud to bring Agentic AI features to its products.

During the event, OPPO introduced AI Search, a new system-level feature developed in partnership with Google Cloud. This tool enables users to perform natural language searches across complex, multimodal documents. The aim is to make retrieving information faster and more intuitive, improving how users interact with their devices. OPPO also presented advancements in three other core areas of AI development: productivity, creativity, and imaging.

A shift towards personalised and intelligent AI

As part of its long-term vision, OPPO is moving towards a new generation of Agentic AI, with a focus on creating more intelligent and personalised user experiences. Central to this shift is the development of a user knowledge system—a digital repository that learns from user activity, preferences, and data. This system is expected to tackle the common problem of fragmented information on mobile devices, enabling AI-driven features that adapt in real time to individual behaviour and context.

This effort aims to move beyond static AI features towards a dynamic and responsive operating system powered by continuous learning. The company believes this approach will lay the foundation for the next wave of smart mobile experiences, blending personal data and memory with intelligent system behaviour.

Strengthening AI security through Private Computing Cloud

Security has also remained a priority in OPPO’s AI strategy. Earlier this year, the company launched its Private Computing Cloud (PCC), which uses Google Cloud’s Confidential Computing to protect user data. This secure architecture ensures that all AI-related processing happens within an encrypted and isolated system, keeping interactions private and safeguarded from potential threats.

By embedding these security features directly into the AI processing pipeline, OPPO aims to reassure users that their personal data is managed responsibly, even as AI becomes more deeply integrated into everyday mobile interactions.

OPPO’s ongoing collaboration with Google Cloud reflects its wider goal of redefining the daily AI experience. Through these strategic partnerships and investments in AI R&D, the company hopes to accelerate the adoption of advanced AI tools across its ecosystem. Looking ahead, OPPO aims to bring these innovations to nearly 100 million users by the end of 2025, helping more people benefit from the power of personalised, secure, and intelligent AI.
