Proofpoint recognised as a leader again in Gartner 2025 Magic Quadrant for digital communications governance

Proofpoint named a leader again in Gartner’s 2025 Magic Quadrant for digital communications governance and archiving solutions.

Proofpoint has been named a leader for the second consecutive year in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Communications Governance and Archiving Solutions. The cybersecurity and compliance company was recognised for both its completeness of vision and ability to execute among 14 vendors evaluated in the report.

Continued recognition for innovation and execution

Harry Labana, senior vice president and general manager of the Digital Communications Governance (DCG) Business Unit at Proofpoint, said the repeat recognition highlights the company’s innovation and strategic direction.

“We believe our consecutive recognition as a Leader in this year’s Magic Quadrants underscores our continued leadership, strength of our vision and relentless pace of innovation,” he said. “With our next-generation Digital Communications Governance platform and the industry’s first agentic AI solution for Human Communications Intelligence, we’re capturing real-time communications intelligence and redefining how organisations manage risk and move away from reactive compliance to proactive, intelligence-led governance that’s built for the AI era.”

Advancing proactive governance through AI

Proofpoint’s DCG platform uses Human Communications Intelligence (HCI), powered by agentic AI, to unify compliance, supervision, and risk management. The technology leverages the company’s proprietary Nuclei engine to interpret human intent and analyse communications across more than 80 channels in real time.

Intelligent agents autonomously assess conversations, flag potential risks as they appear, and provide clear reasoning for each action. These signals integrate directly with Proofpoint’s Insider Threat Management (ITM) system, correlating communication-based risk indicators with user behaviour across endpoints. The integration helps identify motives, means, and modes of risk within the Insider Threat Matrix, allowing organisations to intervene before issues escalate into compliance breaches or legal action.

Industry recognition and customer trust

Proofpoint’s strong reputation in the enterprise information archiving market is reflected in customer feedback. As of 15 October 2025, the company holds an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on 114 reviews on Gartner Peer Insights in the category of Digital Communications Governance and Archiving Solutions.

The company continues to expand its AI-driven governance solutions as demand grows for smarter, proactive approaches to managing digital communication risks in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
