Samsung may bring back the rotating bezel with the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic

[output_post_excerpt]

You might soon see the return of a much-loved smartwatch feature. New leaked images suggest that Samsung is bringing back the rotating bezel with the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. This feature was last seen in older models and is expected to return after being dropped in the Galaxy Watch 7 series.

A well-known tipster, @OnLeaks, teamed up with @SammyGurus to share detailed computer-aided design (CAD) renders and a 360-degree video of what appears to be the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. If these images are accurate, the watch will feature a cushion-shaped case and the familiar rotating bezel—both design elements that fans have missed.

A closer look at the design

From the renders, Samsung is sticking with a clean and classic design. The cushion-style case gives the watch a slightly more rounded and robust look. The rotating bezel, which allows you to scroll through menus by simply turning the outer ring, is one of Samsung’s most praised features. It adds a unique touch and makes the watch much easier to navigate.

This design choice sets the Classic model apart from other smartwatches on the market, most of which rely solely on touchscreens or side buttons for control. By bringing the bezel back, Samsung could win over those who were disappointed by its removal from the Galaxy Watch 7 line.

What else can you expect?

According to the leak, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is expected to have a 1.5-inch display, which will give you a large and clear screen for notifications, apps, and fitness tracking. It will also include a 450mAh battery, which should offer enough power to last through the day with typical use.

The watch’s design appears to be inspired by the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which has a strong and stylish appearance. While it maintains a classic shape, the watch still looks modern and sporty, appealing to many users, from fitness fans to professionals.

Though Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, the renders offer a good idea of what the final product might look like. If the specs are accurate, you can expect a blend of tradition and innovation—something many Galaxy Watch fans have been waiting for.

The launch could be just around the corner

You won’t have to wait long to find out more. Samsung is expected to launch the full Galaxy Watch 8 range in July. This means the official reveal of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic could be just weeks away.

With the return of the rotating bezel and a stylish yet functional design, this model might be the smartwatch many of you have been hoping for. Watch for Samsung’s following announcement to see if these rumours become reality.
