Vivo X200 to feature Dimensity 9400 chipset and triple 50MP rear cameras

Discover the Vivo X200 with a Dimensity 9400 chipset, triple 50MP cameras, and a sleek design, expected to launch in October.

Vivo is preparing to unveil its next flagship smartphone, the X200, following the success of the X100, which was launched in November last year.

Recent leaks from Digital Chat Station on Weibo have shared significant details about the new device, including its processor and camera specifications.

The Vivo X200 is set to be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400 chipset. This new processor promises improved performance and efficiency. The display will be flat with symmetrical, narrow bezels on all four sides, giving it a sleek and modern look. The panel will feature a 1.5K resolution, providing clear and vibrant visuals.

Impressive camera setup

The camera system is one of the X200’s standout features. The phone will reportedly house three 50MP sensors on the rear. This includes a main camera with a Sony sensor, known for its high quality and clarity, and a telephoto camera with a 3x periscope zoom lens. Vivo’s latest self-developed imaging chip, which aims to improve photography capabilities significantly, will likely enhance this setup.

Design and additional features

Regarding biometrics, the X200 is expected to include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The Pro model may upgrade to an ultrasonic sensor for even quicker and more accurate recognition. The device is rumoured to feature a battery that uses high-density silicon technology, increasing capacity without adding to its size. However, details about the battery’s exact capacity remain unknown.

Leaked images suggest the X200 will sport a flat display with chamfered edges, adding to its stylish design. Notably, the screen size is expected to be slightly smaller than its predecessor but still large enough to offer an immersive experience. The display is anticipated to have a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling and gameplay.

The rear design showcases a prominent camera island surrounded by a metal ring, similar to the X100. This design choice highlights the phone’s advanced camera system and adds a touch of elegance.

Anticipated launch date

While the exact launch date has yet to be confirmed, based on the previous X100 series release, the X200 is speculated to debut as early as October in China. The X200 series will likely include a standard version and a Pro model, offering options for different user preferences.

As Vivo gears up for this release, the X200 is shaping up to be an impressive addition to the smartphone market with its advanced processor, high-quality camera system, and sleek design.
