Slam Dunk is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by artist, Takehiko Inoue, about a basketball team from Shōhoku High School in the Shōnan area. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from year 1990 to 1996, with the chapters collected into 31 tankōbon volumes by Shueisha, followed the fortunes of a loveless delinquent who joins the school basketball team to impress a girl, and then discovers a natural ability for the game.

Its popularity endures as according to a 2012 survey by research group, it is still the second most popular Japanese Manga. Slam Dunk's position in the hearts of fans has never changed. Every time you look at it, it will bring back the good old memories.
