ASUS unveils next-generation infrastructure solutions at SC24 with NVIDIA and Ubitus collaboration

At the SC24 event, ASUS has revealed its latest infrastructure innovations, featuring a comprehensive AI server lineup and advanced cooling solutions aimed at transforming the world of AI computing. This showcase, in partnership with NVIDIA and Ubitus/Ubilink, highlights the power and potential of supercomputing to meet the demands of AI-driven technology. The display includes AI-powered avatars and robot demonstrations running on Taiwan’s largest supercomputing facility, which was recently inaugurated by ASUS. The facility, developed by ASUS, not only boasts exceptional computational power but also offers flexible green energy options to customers seeking sustainable solutions.

Advanced AI server line-up for diverse applications

ASUS has launched a complete range of server systems designed to support every workload across industries, driving digital transformation through high-performance computing (HPC) and AI. The ASUS AI POD, a fully-integrated rack solution, is equipped with the cutting-edge NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 platform. This system combines GPUs, CPUs, and switches, ensuring high-speed, direct communication for optimal performance. The AI POD is engineered to enhance the training of large-scale language models (LLMs) and enable real-time inference. The inclusion of the NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchip and fifth-generation NVIDIA NVLink technology ensures seamless integration and top-tier AI computing capabilities.

In addition to the AI POD, ASUS is showcasing the ESC8000A-E13P, a high-performance computing (HPC) server that supports NVIDIA’s modular MGX architecture. The ESC8000A-E13P is built for rapid deployment at scale, featuring high-density GPU configurations suitable for a range of applications. It supports up to eight NVIDIA H200 NVL dual-slot cards, each with 600-watt power capacity. The system is designed to enhance east-west traffic with five PCIe 5.0 slots, and it features the powerful NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPUs for processing software-defined networking, storage, and cybersecurity at line rate.

For businesses looking to deploy generative AI applications, ASUS also offers a selection of advanced servers, including the ESC N8-E11V with the NVIDIA HGX H200 platform and ESC N8A-E13 with the latest NVIDIA Blackwell platform. These solutions provide scalable performance tailored to meet the demands of modern AI workloads.

Innovative cooling solutions for data centre efficiency

One of the key challenges in data centres is managing power consumption and efficiently dissipating heat. To address this, ASUS has partnered with global cooling solution providers to deliver adaptive and scalable cooling systems for a range of needs. The company’s solutions, which span from the ASUS AI POD to entire data centres, focus on optimising cooling efficiency and reducing power usage effectiveness (PUE).

ASUS offers two advanced cooling solutions: liquid-to-air cooling with sidecar units and liquid-to-liquid cooling with in-row coolant-distribution units (CDU). These systems are capable of achieving up to 95% heat dissipation, maximising the cooling efficiency for high-performance servers. The integration of these cooling systems with ASUS servers ensures that they operate optimally even under full load, making them suitable for the most demanding AI applications.

In addition to hardware solutions, ASUS also provides rigorous software stack testing and verification to ensure servers are fully operational in real-world environments. This process includes checks on power, network, GPU cards, voltage, and temperature, ensuring all systems function reliably and efficiently.

ASUS has also completed the construction of a state-of-the-art supercomputing centre in Taiwan in collaboration with Ubilink, a company formed by Foxlink, Ubitus, and Shinfox Energy. This world-class data centre features an impressive performance capacity of 45.82 PFLOPS and offers public cloud services, AI computing rentals, and subscription-based cloud services. What makes this data centre stand out is its commitment to sustainability. Customers can choose to run their operations entirely on renewable energy, offering a greener alternative for those prioritising environmental responsibility.

This landmark achievement in AI infrastructure further highlights ASUS’s ongoing efforts to provide high-performance solutions that align with customer demands for both power and sustainability. By offering cutting-edge hardware, cooling technologies, and green-energy options, ASUS is shaping the future of AI computing.
