Canon expands automation portfolio with Tungsten TotalAgility for Asian businesses

[output_post_excerpt]

Canon has announced the addition of Tungsten TotalAgility, an intelligent automation platform developed by Tungsten Automation, to its portfolio of business solutions in Asia. The move aims to help organisations streamline operations, boost productivity, and prepare for the future of work through the use of advanced artificial intelligence and end-to-end workflow optimisation.

Intelligent automation as a growth driver

According to Canon, intelligent automation has evolved from being a tool for operational efficiency into a core driver of enterprise-wide transformation. Tungsten TotalAgility enables businesses to automate high-volume, document-focused processes using AI-powered workflows and intelligent agents. The platform captures and processes data, turning it into actionable insights that support decision-making and enhance efficiency.

The launch comes amid rising demand for automation across the region. The Asia-Pacific intelligent document processing market is projected to reach US$10.57 billion by 2035. Canon said its integration of Tungsten TotalAgility responds to this trend by helping enterprises achieve higher levels of accuracy, scalability, and productivity.

Fukui Shinsuke, Senior Director, Regional Business Imaging Solutions at Canon Singapore, said, “The introduction of Tungsten TotalAgility marks a pivotal addition to Canon’s suite of offerings, as we redefine intelligent automation and empower businesses to navigate the new frontier of efficiency. Intelligent automation has evolved from a competitive advantage to an urgent growth imperative, and with Tungsten TotalAgility, we are providing the end-to-end AI-powered capabilities that enable our customers to unlock enhanced value, agility, and compliance in today’s data-driven world.”

Features and industry applications

Canon expands automation portfolio with Tungsten TotalAgility for Asian businesses - 1

Tungsten TotalAgility is designed as a plug-and-play solution that combines intelligent document processing, knowledge discovery, and process orchestration with AI. It can automate tasks such as employee onboarding and claims processing, easing administrative burdens and allowing staff to focus on higher-value work.

The platform also offers generative AI-driven capabilities for processing unstructured documents, helping organisations extract insights more quickly and accurately. Its low-code interface allows business users to create workflows with minimal technical knowledge, speeding up implementation and reducing reliance on IT teams.

Security and compliance are built into the system, with audit trails and data privacy measures to ensure regulatory requirements are met. Out-of-the-box connectors also make it possible to integrate with widely used enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Salesforce.

Tungsten TotalAgility is already being deployed across industries including logistics, manufacturing, and finance. In logistics, for example, it has been shown to cut lead times for tracking updates by up to 80 per cent, freeing up resources for more critical functions.

Availability in Asia

The solution is now available through Canon and its authorised partners in Singapore and India from the third quarter of 2025. Canon plans to expand availability to other Asian markets in the near future, with customers receiving support for smooth integration and ongoing localised assistance throughout their automation journey.
