Discover Sony’s upgraded ZV-E10 II camera designed for vloggers

Sony’s ZV-E10 II camera for vloggers delivers superior 4K video, a faster sensor, and improved battery life for extended shooting sessions.

Sony has just launched the ZV-E10 II, an upgraded interchangeable lens camera for vloggers. This new model follows the ZV-E10 from 2021, and it brings with it a host of improvements that vloggers and content creators will find exciting.

Superior video and sensor technology

The ZV-E10 II features a new 26-megapixel backside-illuminated APS-C sensor and a faster Bionz XR processor. This powerful combination enhances the camera’s 4K video recording capabilities. You can now capture 4K footage at 30 frames per second (fps) without cropping and at 60 fps with a slight crop. The previous model only supported 4K at 30 fps with a crop.

Moreover, the ZV-E10 II supports 10-bit 4:2:2 video recording, offering more flexibility in colour grading. This feature will be handy for vloggers producing high-quality, professionally edited videos.

Improved battery life and user-friendly design

The ZV-E10 II boasts a significant improvement in battery life. It uses Sony’s larger NP-FZ100 battery, which can provide up to 130 minutes of video recording on a single charge, a substantial upgrade from the 80 minutes offered by its predecessor.

In terms of design, the ZV-E10 II maintains the same prominent grip as most Sony Alpha cameras and includes a fully articulating rear screen. The screen’s resolution has been slightly enhanced to 1.04 million dots, up from the previous 0.92 million dots. However, similar to the original ZV-E10, the new model does not include an electronic viewfinder.

The ZV-E10 II has a new kit lens, the PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II. This compact lens covers a versatile range of focal lengths, making it perfect for vloggers needing a flexible, portable camera setup.

Availability and pricing

Sony has yet to confirm the exact availability and pricing for the ZV-E10 II. However, it is expected to be available later this month. As a point of reference, the camera body alone will cost around US$999, while the kit with the 16-50mm lens will cost US$1,099.

In conclusion, the Sony ZV-E10 II is set to be a compelling choice for vloggers and content creators looking to upgrade their gear. With enhanced 4K video recording, longer battery life, and a versatile new kit lens, this camera offers a range of features that appeal to anyone serious about creating high-quality video content.
