Garmin launches vívoactive 6 smartwatch with brighter display and advanced health features

Garmin introduces vívoactive 6 with a bright AMOLED screen, up to 11 days' battery life, and comprehensive health and fitness features.

Garmin Singapore has announced the arrival of the vívoactive 6, its latest health and fitness smartwatch. Designed to help users understand their bodies better, the vívoactive 6 features a brighter AMOLED display and an extended battery life of up to 11 days. This new smartwatch offers a wide range of health and wellness tools, including Body Battery energy monitoring, a sleep coach, preloaded sports apps, new mobility workouts, and more.

According to Mr Scoppen Lin, Assistant General Manager of Garmin Asia, “No matter your fitness goals, vívoactive 6 is designed to help you understand your body better than ever before. From your morning routine to your mid-day workout session to your nighttime wind down and everything in between, this smartwatch will be with you every step of the way.”

The vívoactive 6 introduces a smart wake alarm that detects lighter sleep stages within a selected time window and gently wakes users with a light vibration. After waking, users receive a morning report summarising their sleep quality, Body Battery status, recovery insights, and daily schedule. The report also includes heart rate variability (HRV) status, offering an early indicator of overall wellness and readiness for the day. Users can customise the morning report with themes, data preferences, and inspirational messages.

Comprehensive health tracking features

Garmin’s vívoactive 6 provides a complete suite of health monitoring tools. Body Battery tracks energy levels throughout the day, providing personal insights into how sleep, naps, activities, and stress affect overall energy. The sleep coach delivers a sleep score and personalised advice on how much sleep is recommended, while also monitoring sleep stages, naps, blood oxygen saturation (Pulse Ox), and HRV status.

Stress tracking enables users to see how different moments in the day impact their body, while guided meditation and mindful breathing exercises offer methods to reduce stress and anxiety. Women’s health tracking is also included, allowing users to monitor menstrual cycles or pregnancies with tailored exercise and nutrition guidance.

Fitness and health data can be viewed over time in customisable graphs and charts, helping users get a fuller picture of their progress and overall wellness. With these features, vívoactive 6 aims to support users in maintaining their physical and mental wellbeing throughout the day.

Stay active, stay connected

The vívoactive 6 encourages users to stay active with more than 80 preloaded sports apps, covering activities like walking, running, cycling, and pool swimming. It also introduces daily suggested walking workouts and offers downloadable, step-by-step routines for strength training, HIIT, yoga, Pilates, and mobility through Garmin Connect. Adaptive Garmin Coach training plans are available for those preparing for a race or working towards fitness milestones, adjusting daily based on performance and health metrics.

Running dynamics, such as cadence, stride length, and ground contact time, are monitored, and the PacePro feature offers pacing guidance that considers course elevation and individual pacing preferences. After workouts, the smartwatch provides insights into workout benefits and recovery time, helping users plan their next sessions more effectively.

The vívoactive 6 also includes a wheelchair mode, tracking daily pushes, weight shifts, and offering handcycle workout options, ensuring inclusivity for all users.

Beyond fitness, the vívoactive 6 keeps users connected with smart notifications for texts, emails, and alerts when paired with a compatible iPhone or Android smartphone. Android users can even reply to messages using an on-watch keyboard. Safety and tracking features are included, allowing users to send their live location to selected contacts if they feel unsafe or if an incident is detected.

Garmin Pay enables contactless payments at checkout or public transport, and users can download playlists from Spotify, Amazon Music, or Deezer for phone-free listening. The Garmin Connect app provides a detailed overview of health and fitness data, and the Connect IQ Store offers a range of apps, watch faces, and more for further customisation.

The vívoactive 6 features a lightweight aluminium bezel and a silicone band, available in Black/Slate, Bone/Lunar Gold, Jasper Green, and Pink Dawn. It will be available in Singapore from 18 April 2025 at a suggested retail price of S$459 through Garmin Brand Stores, Lazada, Shopee, the Garmin Online Store, Takashimaya, and authorised retailers.

Garmin remains committed to innovation in the wellness sector, helping people of all activity levels live healthier lives and continuing to push the boundaries of wearable health technology.
