Honor teases new Power phone series with massive battery for outdoor fans

Honor teases its new Power phone range with a massive battery and an outdoorsy vibe. It will launch on April 15 at 7:30 PM China time.

Honor is adding yet another smartphone series to its growing list, and this one seems aimed at those of you who love the outdoors and need a phone that can keep up with your adventures. A new teaser shared on Honor’s official Weibo page reveals that the company will introduce its latest midrange series, called Honor Power, on April 15 at 7:30 PM (China Standard Time).

A phone for the outdoor lifestyle

In the teaser, Honor hints at a new lifestyle-focused phone range. The phrase “light outdoors” describes the kind of experience this phone is built for—one where you’re outside hiking, camping, or exploring nature. It suggests that Honor Power phones are made for people who want freedom and flexibility without worrying about their phones dying too soon.

The promotional image shows a glowing tent in a dark forest under a starry sky, strongly emphasising outdoor life, adventure, and independence. The description calls the phone “lightweight and versatile” and says it’s “born to break new boundaries”. If you spend your weekends off the grid or enjoy time in nature, this might be a phone designed just for you.

A huge battery for long trips

What sets this phone apart might be its battery. Experience More, a well-known phone tipster on Weibo, has suggested that the Honor Power phones could come with a massive 7,800mAh battery. That’s far larger than the average smartphone battery, which means this phone could last much longer between charges—perfect if you’re going on a long hike or camping trip without easy access to power.

The tipster even joked that this battery is powerful enough to charge someone else’s phone, which gives you an idea of how large it might be. While Honor hasn’t confirmed this detail yet, it aligns with the outdoor and active lifestyle the brand highlights in its teaser.

How Power fits into Honor’s growing phone family

Honor already has several different smartphone lines, so seeing another one added to the mix is interesting. You might already be familiar with the Magic series, which includes the foldable Magic V3 and the standard Magic7 Pro—the flagship models. Then there’s the number series, like the Honor 200, which is positioned in the midrange category. Lastly, the X series, including the Honor X9c, is budget-friendly.

So, where does Honor Power sit? It seems to land in midrange, but it might try to stand out with its huge battery and outdoor-friendly design. Still, with so many phone categories under its name, it’s unclear how Power will truly differ from the others. We’ll likely find out more during the full reveal on April 15.

Until then, if you spend more time under the stars than under a roof—and want a phone to match your lifestyle—Honor Power might be worth watching.
