Honor has announced that its latest ultra-durable smartphone, the Honor X9d, will soon be available in Singapore. Pre-orders for the device will begin on 25 September, with further details on pricing and promotions expected to follow closer to launch.
Focus on durability and resistance
The Honor X9d builds on the company’s reputation for producing high-strength devices, with significant upgrades to its protective features. It comes with SGS Triple Resistant Premium Performance certification, which guarantees protection against water, dust, and impact.
One of the key features is Honor’s proprietary Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop technology. This design allows the phone to withstand drops from heights of up to 2.5 metres on certain surfaces. The display itself is shielded by a new “ultra-deep” tempered glass, designed to resist damage when dropped on 10 different types of stone. Honor also claimed the glass can survive impact from pellet rounds fired from air guns.
The phone is IP69K rated, giving it resilience far beyond everyday splashes or spills. According to Honor, the device can endure dirty water, high-temperature exposure for up to 10 seconds, and ultra-high-pressure water jets. It can also continue functioning after being submerged in water at a depth of 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes.
Enhanced usability in challenging conditions
To complement its robust design, the Honor X9d introduces practical features that make it easier to use in extreme conditions. AI Heavy Rain Touch ensures the screen remains responsive even when wet, while AI Glove Touch allows users to interact with the display while wearing gloves, such as those used for biking or working outdoors.
The device also includes an 8,300mAh battery, one of the largest capacities seen in a mainstream smartphone. This long-lasting power source is designed for users who require a reliable phone during extended outdoor activities or long work shifts without needing constant recharging.
Launch details for Singapore
Although Honor has yet to confirm specifications such as the processor and camera setup, the company has promised to reveal further technical details in the coming weeks. For now, it has been confirmed that pre-orders in Singapore will begin on 25 September 2025.
The official launch date, pricing, and promotional offers are expected to be announced closer to the release.
