Leica adds metallic grey finish to M11-P, Q3 and D-Lux 8 cameras
Leica adds a metallic grey finish to the M11-P, Q3 and D-Lux 8, with a matching lens and accessories.
Leica Camera AG has added a metallic grey finish to its camera line-up, extending the brand’s established black-and-silver design palette with a new tone developed at its factory.

The new finish will be available for the Leica M11-P, Leica Q3 and Leica D-Lux 8 cameras, as well as the Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. M-Lens. Leica is also introducing accessories for the three camera lines, including protectors, carrying straps, a camera case and a wrist strap.
Metallic grey comes to the M-System first
The Leica M11-P is the first M-Camera to receive the new metallic grey finish. The camera pairs a full-metal body in metallic grey with black control elements and diamond-patterned leather, keeping the M-System’s familiar design language while adding a new colour option.
Like other M-Cameras, the metallic grey Leica M11-P is Made in Germany and precision-engineered in Wetzlar. The Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. is also available in metallic grey to match the camera. Its lens elements and front cap carry the new finish, while the feet and f-stop scales use red engraving.
Leica has also introduced accessories for the M11-P, including a metallic grey BP-SCL7 battery, a dark brown leather protector, and a dark brown leather carrying strap with a shoulder pad for M- and Q-Cameras. A black leather multifunctional protector is available for M11 cameras, combining a protector with a handgrip. Its base plate supports the ARCA-SWISS coupling system, allowing it to be attached to compatible tripods without additional tools.
Q3 and D-Lux 8 arrive in July
The Leica Q3 compact full-frame camera will be available in metallic grey from 16 July. The new version uses black control elements and red engraving on the feet and f-stop scales of the lens. It is based on the same technology as the standard Leica Q3.
The D-Lux 8 will also be available in metallic grey from 16 July. Its camera body and FN buttons are finished in metallic grey, while the other controls and dials stand against a black background. The compact camera uses a DC Vario-Summilux 10.9–34 f/1.7–2.8 ASPH. zoom lens.
For the D-Lux 8, Leica has added a cognac leather camera case alongside the existing black leather version. The accessory range also includes braided black leather carrying straps and a braided black leather wrist strap.
Pricing and availability
Leica products in the metallic grey finish and the new accessories will be available worldwide through Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store and authorised dealers.
The Leica M11-P in metallic grey is available from 28 May at S$13,250. The Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. in metallic grey is also priced at S$13,250. The BP-SCL7 battery is priced at S$270, while M11 accessories range from S$200 for the dark brown carrying strap to S$490 for the black leather multifunctional protector.
From 16 July, the Leica Q3 in metallic grey will be priced at S$9,760, while the Leica D-Lux 8 in metallic grey will be priced at S$2,590. The Q3 dark brown leather protector will cost S$370. D-Lux 8 accessories include the cognac leather camera case at S$280, the braided black leather wrist strap at S$150 and the braided black leather carrying strap at S$190.
