Lenovo unveils advanced AI solutions and innovative cooling technologies

Lenovo launches new AI solutions, including TruScale GPUaaS and advanced cooling, to help businesses build and scale private AI efficiently.

Lenovo has introduced a groundbreaking suite of services and technologies designed to accelerate AI adoption for businesses of all sizes. Aimed at making private AI more accessible, the new solutions leverage cutting-edge hardware and software to help companies build, scale, and optimise generative AI capabilities. These innovations also prioritise sustainability and energy efficiency, making them ideal for modern businesses.

New services to support AI growth

The key solutions unveiled include:

  • Lenovo TruScale GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS): A scalable, pay-as-you-go model delivering on-demand NVIDIA GPU power for AI and machine learning (ML) workloads. This service is enhanced by Lenovo’s Intelligent Computing Orchestration (LiCO) for streamlined workload management.
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem N1380 Neptune: A next-generation liquid cooling system using a vertical chassis for industry-standard 19-inch racks, enabling higher density and better thermal management.
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune: This high-performance system supports NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand and Spectrum-X800 Ethernet and is designed for enterprise-level AI solutions. It runs NVIDIA AI Enterprise, simplifying AI development and deployment.
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem SC750 V4: Powered by Intel Xeon processors with advanced memory bandwidth, this solution enhances security and performance for data-intensive workloads.
  • Lenovo XClarity One: A new unified system management platform that incorporates AI-driven predictive analytics and zero-trust security to enhance reliability and manageability.

These solutions empower businesses to harness private AI capabilities more effectively, enabling cost-efficient GPU use, advanced cooling, and smarter IT management.

Accelerating AI adoption in Asia-Pacific

Kumar Mitra, Managing Director and Regional General Manager, CAP & ANZ, Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group, highlighted the regional relevance of these solutions. “Businesses in Asia-Pacific are rapidly transitioning from planning to adopting AI in operations and customer excellence,” he said. “Lenovo’s new AI services and solutions provide the expertise needed to tailor and effectively implement AI solutions for tangible business outcomes. They also ensure that data centres are energy efficient and space-optimised for higher performance and reliability.”

Addressing sustainability with liquid cooling

To support sustainability goals, Lenovo’s Neptune technology offers direct liquid cooling that can lower power consumption by up to 40%. This approach is ideal for businesses managing high-density computing environments, reducing operational costs while maximising energy efficiency. Additionally, Lenovo Power and Cooling Services provide detailed insights into energy usage and cooling needs through on-site evaluations, helping optimise data centre operations.

The ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune server exemplifies these capabilities, featuring open-loop warm-water cooling that removes heat from all components, including GPUs and memory. This innovation supports AI models with up to 10 trillion parameters, offering improved performance and energy efficiency. Businesses can also deploy NVIDIA GB200 rack systems for advanced AI training, data processing, and engineering simulations.

Revolutionising IT management

Lenovo XClarity One introduces a new era in AI-powered systems management. Combining artificial intelligence with advanced predictive analytics, the platform enhances reliability and scalability for businesses. Its predictive failure analytics detect potential issues early, minimising downtime and unnecessary component replacements.

The platform also ensures robust security with zero-trust architecture, role-based access controls, and one-time password (OTP) authentication. Its streamlined interface allows users to manage connected devices across data centres and edge locations from a single dashboard, reducing operational complexity.

Advancing AI for every business

With generative AI becoming a top priority for enterprises, Lenovo’s solutions make private AI transformation achievable. The suite of offerings not only boosts AI performance but also aligns with the growing emphasis on sustainability and security.
