The new devices use Snapdragon X2 processors and are being pitched around stronger graphics performance, longer battery life, and AI tasks that can run both on the device and in the cloud. Microsoft said the lineup uses dedicated AI processing silicon and Windows integration to support local processing where possible, while drawing on cloud resources when needed.
The launch covers the Surface Pro 13-inch, as well as Surface Laptop models in 13.8-inch and 15-inch sizes. Both product lines will be available with Snapdragon X2 Plus and Snapdragon X2 Elite configurations.
Surface Pro keeps the 2-in-1 focus
The new Surface Pro 13-inch remains Microsoft’s tablet-first Windows device, aimed at users who want a machine that can shift between tablet, laptop, and desktop-style use with the optional keyboard.
Microsoft said the new Surface Pro delivers up to 53% faster graphics performance than the previous generation. It will be available in Platinum and Black, with an optional OLED display that offers deeper blacks, higher contrast, and improved colour accuracy.
Battery life is rated at up to 15.5 hours. The device also includes a 1440p Quad HD ultrawide front-facing camera with natural framing, which automatically keeps users in frame during video calls.
The Surface Pro can be paired with the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard, now available in Dune, and the Surface Slim Pen. Microsoft said the combination supports writing and drawing with haptic feedback for more tactile interaction in Windows 11.
Surface Laptop gets longer battery claims and display upgrades

The new Surface Laptop is aimed at users who prefer a traditional clamshell design, with 13.8-inch and 15-inch models available in the new lineup. Microsoft said the Surface Laptop delivers up to 58% more graphics performance than its predecessor. Battery life is rated at up to 20 hours on the 13.8-inch model and up to 19 hours on the 15-inch model.
Both models use LCD displays, while the 15-inch version has been upgraded from 201 PPI to 262 PPI. Microsoft also cited DXOMARK’s No. 1 ranking for the laptop camera used in the Surface Laptop.
The device includes a larger touchpad with customisable haptic feedback. Colour options include Platinum and Black, with Jade available exclusively through Harvey Norman Singapore and Dune available exclusively through Best Denki.

Microsoft ties the devices to AI and repairability
Microsoft is positioning the new Surface lineup around hybrid AI workflows, where some tasks run locally on the device while others scale to the cloud. The company said the devices are designed with dedicated NPU silicon and Windows integration to support that model.
Both devices also ship with Affinity pinned to the Start menu. Microsoft described the design, photo, and publishing suite as optimised for Surface hardware.
The company also said the new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop use 100% recycled aluminium enclosures. Each device is ENERGY STAR certified and, according to Microsoft, outperforms the efficiency baseline by at least 50%.
