OPPO Find X8 series to launch with MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset

OPPO unveils the Find X8 series with MediaTek Dimensity 9400, combining powerful performance, gaming, AI features, and multi-day battery life.

OPPO, a leading global smart device brand, is set to launch the new OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro smartphones. These flagship devices will be the first globally available phones to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, a game-changing technology designed to deliver exceptional performance, efficiency, and AI capabilities.

A breakthrough in mobile performance

The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 introduces the second-generation All Big Core architecture, combining one Arm Cortex-X925 core running at 3.62GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores. This advanced design provides a 35% improvement in single-core performance and a 28% boost in multi-core performance compared to its predecessor. Users can expect smoother performance across everyday tasks, 4K video editing, and intensive multitasking.

Gaming enthusiasts will also benefit from the chipset’s 12-core Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU, which offers up to 40% faster ray tracing performance and a 41% peak performance boost. Paired with OPPO’s custom cooling system, the Find X8 series ensures consistent high-frame-rate gaming, even at maximum settings.

Enhanced efficiency and battery life

Built on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process, the Dimensity 9400 delivers up to 40% better power efficiency, enabling extended usage without compromising performance. OPPO’s Silicon-Carbon battery technology further enhances battery life, making multi-day use achievable.

The chipset also powers advanced AI features in OPPO’s ColorOS. MediaTek’s 8th Generation NPU offers up to 80% faster performance for large language models while being 35% more energy-efficient. This enables the seamless integration of Google Gemini Nano’s language intelligence in features like Magic Compose, which provides context-aware reply options across multiple tones and languages.

Revolutionising photography and connectivity

The Dimensity 9400 leverages MediaTek’s Imagiq 1090 ISP and OPPO’s Hasselblad Master Camera System to elevate the Find X8 series’ photography capabilities. Users can expect AI-powered zoom, improved low-light performance, smooth camera transitions, and efficient 4K video recording at 60fps, using up to 14% less power.

Connectivity has also been upgraded with MediaTek’s Xtra Range 3.0, offering extended Wi-Fi coverage of up to 30 metres. Whether gaming online or uploading videos in crowded spaces, OPPO’s AI LinkBoost technology ensures stable, interruption-free connections.

A commitment to innovation

Speaking on the collaboration, Andy Wu, OPPO Vice President and President of the Find Product Line, said, “Find X8 Series will put ultra-grade gaming, imaging, and smoothness in customers’ hands, and this world-class performance is made possible thanks to our strong partnership with MediaTek. We look forward to MediaTek and OPPO continuing to propel advanced technology forward as the core driving force, bringing more innovation to global users.”

Dr Yenchi Lee, General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit, added, “The Dimensity 9400 is a game-changing chipset. With its second-generation All Big Core design delivering class-leading power and incredible performance, we can’t wait for more people to experience it in OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro.”

OPPO’s Find X8 series promises to redefine smartphone performance, gaming, and AI experiences. Stay tuned for more details at the global launch event.
