Pure Storage boosts cyber resilience with new security innovations and partnerships

[output_post_excerpt]

Pure Storage has announced new features to strengthen cyber resilience for organisations facing increasingly complex security threats. The expanded Pure Storage platform now integrates deeper with partner technologies, giving businesses improved visibility, faster threat response and greater confidence in recovering from cyberattacks.

The company highlighted that traditional approaches to cybersecurity often leave gaps, particularly when storage infrastructure is excluded from security planning. Without built-in threat detection at the data layer, organisations can struggle to identify and stop attacks before they disrupt critical systems. The enhanced Pure Storage platform aims to address these issues with integrated detection, response and recovery tools.

Charles Giancarlo, Chairman and CEO of Pure Storage, said the platform was designed to help businesses manage and secure their data more effectively. “The Pure Storage platform transforms your global storage environment into an Enterprise Data Cloud, supporting your AI and data security strategies,” he said. “Business success depends on leveraging data – and how teams can effectively manage and secure it across their global data estate.”

New partnerships to stop attacks before they spread

Pure Storage is expanding its security ecosystem with several new integrations. Its collaboration with CrowdStrike connects Pure Storage systems with the Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform, giving organisations real-time visibility and automated incident response. When threats are detected, policies can be updated instantly, systems isolated and replication secured to prevent wider damage.

Michael Rogers, vice president of Global Alliances at CrowdStrike, said the partnership extends protection to a critical layer of enterprise infrastructure. “Our work with Pure Storage extends that protection to mission-critical data, giving organisations the speed, precision, and resilience they need to stay ahead of adversaries,” he said.

Another key addition is an integration with Superna for file and user monitoring. The Superna Data Security Essentials solution works with Pure Storage’s FlashArray and FlashBlade to detect malicious activity, such as data exfiltration or ransomware, in real time. Compromised accounts can be locked automatically, while security policies are applied without manual intervention.

Steve Arlin, Vice President of Global Technology Alliances at Superna, described the collaboration as a way to combine high performance with robust security. “Together, we’re helping customers not only unlock the full power of their data but also defend it against today’s toughest cyber threats – without complexity, without compromise,” he said.

Faster and cleaner data recovery after cyber incidents

Pure Storage also introduced new recovery solutions to reduce downtime and help businesses resume operations safely after a cyberattack. A new Cyber Resilience delivered as a Service offering with Veeam gives enterprises simplified recovery through automation and policy-driven workflows. Delivered on a cloud-like consumption model with service-level agreements, it aims to reduce costs and speed up the time needed to restore critical systems.

John Jester, Chief Revenue Officer at Veeam, said the joint solution replaces manual recovery processes with unified automation. “Delivering these capabilities as ‘Cyber Resilience delivered as a Service’ empowers customers with the agility and scalability they need – free from infrastructure constraints,” he said.

Additionally, the launch of Pure Protect Recovery Zones enables organisations to create isolated recovery environments automatically. These secure spaces allow IT teams to test, validate and restore applications and data after an attack without affecting production systems, reducing disruption and improving confidence in recovery processes.

With these innovations and partnerships, Pure Storage is positioning its platform as a proactive part of enterprise cybersecurity strategies. By integrating threat detection, response and recovery into the storage layer, the company aims to help organisations minimise risk and maintain business continuity in an evolving threat landscape.
