SHARP launches AQUOS R10 smartphone in Singapore with AI features and Dolby Atmos sound

SHARP launches AQUOS R10 in Singapore with AI features, 3,000-nit OLED display, Dolby Atmos sound, and advanced imaging capabilities.

SHARP has introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the AQUOS R10, in Singapore. The new model combines high-end audiovisual performance with AI-powered features, positioning itself as an entertainment and productivity device for users on the go.

Enhanced display and immersive audio

The AQUOS R10 features a 6.5-inch Pro IGZO OLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, offering 1.5 times the brightness of its predecessor. This allows for greater clarity between light and dark elements on-screen, helping to reproduce realistic textures and improve contrast, particularly in bright environments. With the addition of SHARP’s “Virtual HDR” technology, even non-HDR streaming content can appear brighter and more vivid.

Complementing the visual experience is a stereo speaker system housed in full-metal enclosures, located at the top and bottom of the phone. The setup supports Dolby Atmos spatial audio, delivering a sound experience designed to feel “more immersive than watching live,” according to the company. SHARP has also introduced new acoustic tuning to maintain sound clarity at low volumes and offers spatial audio via headphones using its 8Way Audio technology.

AI-powered imaging and call support

SHARP has made several upgrades to the R10’s camera system. It now includes a larger 1/1.55-inch image sensor that reduces noise in dark environments, making it more capable in low-light and night photography. A 14-channel spectral sensor also helps reproduce natural colours in mixed lighting conditions. The phone uses AI image processing to enhance detail and tonal range in zoomed or night shots, and can now remove shadows from document photos and food images.

Video capture is supported by Dolby Vision, and an AI-assisted tracking feature helps keep subjects in focus, even when they are briefly obscured. Users can tap on a subject in the viewfinder to enable this function.

Beyond photography, SHARP has integrated generative AI features into the phone’s call experience. The AQUOS R10 can automatically extract keywords from conversations, store them as notes, and suggest adding any recognised dates or times into a calendar app. These functions aim to make scheduling and follow-ups easier after calls.

Performance, durability and partnership promotions

Under the hood, the AQUOS R10 runs on a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor and comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. To manage heat during gaming or video-intensive tasks, it includes a new heat dissipation structure with a copper block placed between the CPU and the vapour chamber.

The phone retains the “free curve” design created by Miyake Design, offering a distinctive shape with premium glass materials. It is also rated IPX5/IPX8/IP6X for water and dust resistance, and meets MIL-STD-810G standards for shock resistance.

As part of its launch campaign, SHARP Singapore has partnered with Tottenham Hotspur FC during their Pre-season Tour 2025. Running from 1 July to 30 September 2025, the campaign includes a promotion where customers can win a trip to London to watch a Tottenham Hotspur match live. More details are available on SHARP’s Singapore website.

The AQUOS R10 will be sold via the SHARP eStore, Lazada, Shopee, and selected retail outlets such as Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, Gain City and other authorised dealers across Singapore.
