SwitchBot expands Home Assistant support with robot vacuums, smart shades, and new Hub 3

SwitchBot will integrate over 45 smart home products with Home Assistant, including robot vacuums, smart shades, and the new Hub 3.

SwitchBot is set to integrate more than 45 of its smart home products with Home Assistant during the first half of this year. This expansion includes the SwitchBot Hub 3, which was recently revealed in a filing with the Connectivity Standards Alliance.

Major integrations coming soon

Many of these integrations are expected to roll out in April. According to a list published on SwitchBot’s website, key additions include the Robot Vacuum K10 Plus Pro, Curtain 3 smart shades, and a garage door opener. These devices will join other SwitchBot products that work with Home Assistant, such as the SwitchBot Lock Pro.

This move marks a significant step for SwitchBot as it continues to enhance its compatibility with the open-source Home Assistant platform. With a growing range of smart home products, the brand’s decision to integrate many devices is great news for users looking for seamless automation.

A boost for Home Assistant users

Home Assistant relies on community-created integrations that allow devices from various brands to work together. However, these integrations can sometimes be unreliable due to undocumented software updates or companies deliberately blocking compatibility. By officially supporting Home Assistant, SwitchBot helps ensure a smoother user experience, making smart home automation more accessible and reliable.

As SwitchBot continues to expand its smart home ecosystem, this latest development highlights its commitment to offering more flexibility and control to tech-savvy homeowners.
