TikTok rolls out a special campaign for parents

TikTok has launched the "Parents of TikTok" campaign, a new initiative to celebrate and support parents using the platform.

TikTok, a platform often seen as a playground for younger users, is reaching out to a broader demographic. The social media giant is turning its attention to young and old parents who use the app to find relatable content and communities. To celebrate and elevate this unique user group, TikTok has launched a new campaign called “Parents of TikTok.”

The campaign aims to engage and educate

TikTok stated that the campaign will collaborate with parenting content creators from October to January. They will offer community workshops and even publish a guide for parents new to TikTok. This is an effort to help parents learn about the platform and its safety features. TikTok expressed its enthusiasm for the campaign: “So whether you are a parent of a teenager, about to begin your journey to becoming a parent, or are simply looking for five minutes of escapism, it’s time to embrace TikTok.”

A dedicated hub for parent-focused content

As part of this campaign, TikTok is introducing a new feature within the app, the #ParentsofTikTok hub. This will be the primary place for parents and caregivers to connect with like-minded individuals and discover relevant content. “This hub will be the go-to destination for any parent or primary caregiver looking to find their fellow community,” said TikTok.

Parents find a voice on TikTok

The platform already offers a variety of resources to help parents navigate the digital landscape, including a Guardian’s Guide that outlines various tools and options for child safety. The new campaign is a natural extension of these existing resources. The popularity of parent-related content on TikTok is hard to ignore; hashtags like #ParentsofTikTok have generated over 44 billion views. Other related hashtags such as #Parents (71.6 billion), #NewBorn (43.4 billion), #FirstTimeMom (15.7 billion), and #BabyTips (1.5 billion) are also drawing significant engagement. As the user base matures, TikTok sees this as an opportunity to foster a growing segment of its community.

The “Parents of TikTok” hub is live, offering a unique space for parents to interact, share, and learn.
