Xbox adds Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and The Witcher 3 to Game Pass in February update
Xbox expands Game Pass with The Witcher 3, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and several new February and March releases.
Xbox has unveiled its second wave of Game Pass additions for February, bringing a mix of major role-playing games, indie titles and new releases to subscribers across console, PC and cloud platforms. The update includes high-profile titles such as Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, alongside a selection of day-one launches and returning favourites.
Table Of Content
The new titles are rolling out across different tiers of the subscription service, including Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass, with staggered release dates throughout the month and into early March.
New arrivals and day-one launches in February
Several games have already joined the Game Pass catalogue, with Xbox confirming that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is now available on cloud, Xbox Series X and S, handheld devices and PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The game arrives alongside Avowed, which joins the Game Pass Premium library on the same day it launches on PlayStation 5, highlighting Microsoft’s continued push for cross-platform availability.
Another new addition is Aerial_Knight’s DropShot, a single-player skydiving first-person shooter from solo developer Aerial_Knight. The game challenges players to battle enemies as they fall through the sky to secure the only available parachute. The unusual premise includes finger-gun combat mechanics and encounters with dragons, offering a distinctive blend of action and surreal elements.
Further titles are scheduled to arrive on 21 February, including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition. This version of the acclaimed action role-playing game includes all downloadable content, giving players access to the full narrative and expansions in a single package. The same day will see EA Sports College Football 26 join the service on cloud and Xbox Series X and S, along with Death Howl, a Soulslike deck-building game that combines tactical card play with dark fantasy themes.
The staggered releases continue with TCG Card Shop Simulator, arriving on 24 February in Game Preview. The management simulation game tasks players with running a trading card game store, blending business strategy with the culture of collectable card games. On 25 February, Dice A Million will launch as a day-one addition to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The roguelike deck-builder combines dice mechanics and passive abilities to accumulate a million points through strategic combinations.
Towerborne and expanding co-operative experiences
On 26 February, Towerborne will receive its full release after a period in Steam Game Preview and early access. Published by Xbox Game Studios and developed by Stoic, the co-operative action role-playing game will expand significantly with its official launch. The full version adds offline play, online co-op, new story content, additional areas and enemies, and expanded progression systems.
Xbox has also confirmed that the full release will include new difficulty settings, giving players more control over their experience. Towerborne will be available on Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass across consoles, handheld devices and PC, reflecting Microsoft’s ongoing strategy to ensure first-party titles are accessible across multiple platforms.
The inclusion of Towerborne underscores Xbox’s emphasis on co-operative gameplay and live-service style updates, with ongoing content planned beyond launch. By delivering the complete version to Game Pass subscribers, Microsoft aims to encourage broader adoption and long-term engagement with the title.
This approach aligns with the company’s broader subscription strategy, in which early access titles gradually evolve into full releases while remaining available to subscribers. The model allows developers to gather feedback during preview phases while maintaining a steady flow of content for Game Pass users.
Major RPG releases coming in early March
Looking beyond February, Xbox has confirmed that two high-profile role-playing games will arrive on Game Pass on 3 March: Final Fantasy III and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Both titles will be available on cloud, Xbox Series X and S and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is among the most anticipated additions, following the arrival of the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance on Game Pass earlier this month. The sequel has received several nominations at The Game Awards, including Game of the Year, and has been praised for its historical setting and immersive storytelling.
Final Fantasy III adds another classic entry in Square Enix’s long-running franchise to the subscription service, expanding the selection of Japanese role-playing games available to players. The inclusion of both titles reinforces Xbox’s effort to broaden the range of RPGs on Game Pass, catering to fans of both Western and Japanese role-playing traditions.
The February and early March update reflects Microsoft’s continued investment in Game Pass as a central pillar of its gaming strategy. By combining blockbuster titles, indie releases and day-one launches, Xbox aims to maintain the service’s appeal to a wide audience while encouraging ongoing subscriptions.
As competition in the subscription gaming market intensifies, the addition of well-known franchises such as The Witcher and Kingdom Come is likely to strengthen Game Pass’s position among players seeking a large and varied game library without purchasing individual titles.
