Airwallex partners with Discover Global Network to expand payment options

Airwallex partners with Discover Global Network, allowing merchants to accept Discover and Diners Club International cards, reaching 345 million cardholders.

Global fintech company Airwallex has announced a new partnership with Discover Global Network, allowing its merchants to accept Discover and Diners Club International cards, along with other domestic scheme cards. This move gives businesses greater payment flexibility and ensures customers can use their preferred cards at checkout.

Airwallex merchants across Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United Kingdom can now process payments from Discover Global Network’s 345 million cardholders across more than 200 countries and territories. This expansion is expected to reduce cart abandonment rates and enhance the overall customer experience.

By integrating Discover and Diners Club International cards into its platform, Airwallex aims to provide businesses with seamless payment solutions that cater to a global audience.

Airwallex strengthens its global payment capabilities

Airwallex has been steadily expanding its payment offerings and now supports over 160 payment methods worldwide. This includes major global schemes like Discover Global Network as well as various local payment methods. The company’s efforts focus on helping businesses scale internationally by simplifying cross-border transactions.

“Our collaboration with Discover Global Network reflects our dedication to broadening payment acceptance for businesses worldwide,” said Kai Wu, Chief Revenue Officer at Airwallex. “By enabling Discover and Diners Club International card transactions, we are providing merchants with more choices to meet their customers’ preferences, ultimately helping them scale internationally and drive growth.”

For businesses, this partnership means an improved checkout experience with more payment options, which can lead to higher conversion rates and customer satisfaction.

Discover Global Network expands its merchant reach

Discover Global Network continues to grow its acceptance worldwide, ensuring businesses have access to its vast cardholder base. The company sees this collaboration as a way to support global businesses in reaching more customers.

“Discover Global Network is committed to expanding acceptance and providing businesses with access to our growing base of cardholders worldwide,” said Chris Winter, Vice President of International Markets at Discover Global Network. “Our collaboration with Airwallex ensures that merchants have the payment solutions needed to engage with a global audience, enhancing their business potential and customer satisfaction.”

This partnership marks another step in Airwallex’s mission to streamline global payments and financial operations. With a global infrastructure supporting over 150,000 businesses, Airwallex continues to drive innovation in cross-border commerce.
