If you are a fan of Nintendo Switch, there are undoubtedly many titles that will get you excited in 2022. The list of new games that will come this year is full of sequels of beloved games or brand-new games that we can’t wait to try. So, if you already have a Nintendo Switch, be prepared to spend some joyful hours and play, and if you don’t have one — perhaps 2022 is the year you should get a Nintendo Switch. Please keep reading to find out which games are about to come in 2022 that we are excited about. We are sure you will add all of them to your to-try-out list.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

If you love adventure games and Star Wars, then this is a game you should try. Lego games have been top-rated in the past years, and we are sure this one will be another hit. So many Star Wars games are already for Nintendo, PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and any other gaming console, but we can’t get enough of them. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will surprise you with over 200 playable characters, great humor, and a new spin on the story we love.

Mario Strikers: Battle League

This is a new challenge for Mario, who, this time, is taking over the football world. Mario Strikers: Battle League is a 5v5 football game with a twist that makes it more exciting and not just a pure soccer game. You will be able to collect cool items that will give you boosts and perform amazing shots using tricks. The game can be played with friends on a local network or online multiplayer with other Mario fans worldwide. Customize your team and take the win!

Pac-Man Museum+

Another classic that will come out as a remastered version on Switch this year is Pac-Man Museum+. You will find a collection of all the Pac-Man games from the past 40 years and enjoy this addictive game. Fourteen games will be included in the collection, including the newest ones that were up until now available only for mobile, like Pac-Man 256. So if you feel a bit nostalgic, this game will bring you back to your childhood and relive some fond memories.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

This is the first open-world game that Pokemon will introduce, and we are excited about it. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be part of the Gen 9 of the games, and it will come out in the same year as Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which promises exciting times for all trainers. Both games will come with new locations to be explored and new rosters. With the two games, you will now be able to catch over 1000 pokemon in the wild. Will you be able to catch them all and be the best trainer?

Bayonetta 3

It’s been a long time waiting for Bayonetta 3 since the game was announced in 2017. The gameplay is significantly improved, considering the advancement of technology since the previous installment was released. You can expect the typical witty one-liners that will crack you, dancing, and of course, gunfights. Many players loved this game because of the great customization options, and Bayonetta 3 won’t disappoint because you can personalize your character again.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns

This is a strategy game that you might not expect. We are used to Marvel’s games being full of action, and this one will be as well, but still, it is categorized more as a strategic one. Again, you will meet 12 superheroes in Marvel’s Midnight Suns and have to save the world. This time you will fight against Lillith —  the Mother of Demons. Your character is called The Hunter, and you can customize it as much as you want to. Team up with the other Marvel heroes and save the universe.

Nintendo Switch Sports

Did you miss Wii Sports? Of course, we did, which is why we are thrilled to see the return of Nintendo Switch Sports. You will be able to enjoy some new sports that haven’t been available till now, but this is not even the best part. Online multiplayer is the most extraordinary improvement, allowing you to play against many others and try your skills. Now you can even play football. Are you wondering how? Well, you will have to strap the Joy-Con to your leg. The plans for the game are to include many other sports, so stay tuned.

Sonic Frontiers

Another classic that will explore the open-world genre. Sonic Frontiers is expected to come out later this year, around the holiday season, and we can’t wait for it. Most of the details about the game are still a mystery, but one thing is known the entire voice cast will return, and you will hear your favorite characters’ voices again. This will be a new chapter for Sonic, and the beloved mascot will bring a lot of enjoyment to all.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

Although Gollum is not a 100% positive character, many fans developed a soft spot for him. Finally, we will see much more of the character in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum game for Nintendo Switch. Originally the game was supposed to go out at the beginning of 2021, but because of some unexpected delays will now be released later in  2022. The gameplay looks astonishing, and we will get to know Gollum better. This game may make J.R.R. Tolkien’s character the favorite hero of many others. Only time will tell, but we will try out this game.

Wrapping up

Many other titles are expected later this year and at the beginning of next, like the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel. All gaming developers are working very hard to release new titles, and maybe the list of games you expect will only grow. We are excited about all the games we shared with you and will try them out once we have the chance.
