Black Sesame Technologies debuts at Asia Tech x Singapore 2025, leading robot innovation

Black Sesame Technologies debuts at ATxSG 2025 with full-stack robotics solutions, expanding its presence in Southeast Asia’s automation market.

Black Sesame Technologies, a leader in intelligent automotive computing chips, made its debut at Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG) 2025, held from 27 to 29 May at Singapore EXPO. The company showcased its latest full-stack solutions for robotics, assisted driving, and edge computing at the TechXLR8 Asia exhibition area (booth 4N2-5). This appearance marked a key milestone in Black Sesame Technologies’s push into the Southeast Asian market, using Singapore as a strategic hub to advance industrial automation, smart logistics, and urban mobility.

Moving beyond automotive to robotics and edge computing

Having built a strong foundation in the smart vehicle sector, Black Sesame Technologies is now expanding into the fields of robotics and edge computing. With a robust portfolio of self-developed IP cores, algorithms, and software, the company has introduced the Huashan A1000 and A2000 chip families, along with the Wudang C1200 series. These chips offer high performance, reliability, and value, delivering essential computing power across assisted driving, robotics, edge computing, and consumer electronics.

The company’s technology is already used by top global car manufacturers and tier-one suppliers. At ATxSG, Black Sesame Technologies spotlighted a full-stack solution designed for robotics, including a System on Module (SOM) based on its A1000 and C1200 chips. These modules combine powerful core processors with AI-driven edge computing to deliver scalable and energy-efficient hardware, cutting down product design timelines.

The plug-and-play developer kit integrates hardware tools and a ROS1/ROS2-compatible software stack, enabling customers to rapidly prototype features like SLAM navigation and multi-sensor fusion. Also on display was a turnkey solution covering the entire product lifecycle—from chip selection to structural design—offering customised services to speed up deployment.

A standout feature was the industry’s first edge-side large language model AI application. This innovation supports localised AI inference and autonomous decision-making, which reduces cloud dependence, enhances responsiveness, and improves data privacy.

Establishing a long-term presence in Southeast Asia

Black Sesame Technologies established its Singapore office in 2018. The branch oversees R&D, technical support, and business development, and plays an important role in the company’s global operations. With a team of experts and a fast-response approach, the Singapore office offers end-to-end support for Southeast Asian clients, from selecting chips to full deployment.

“Southeast Asia is an emerging hotspot for robotics, especially in industrial automation, smart logistics, and urban mobility,” said Dr Xu Jin, General Manager of Black Sesame Technologies Singapore. “Black Sesame Technologies not only delivers high-performance hardware, but also provides algorithmic optimisation and flexible customisation to help clients tackle complex scenarios and speed up digital transformation.”

The company aims to deepen its partnerships across Southeast Asia, enabling the large-scale application of robotic solutions in smart manufacturing, service robots, and smart city projects. Its participation in ATxSG 2025 marks a strategic step forward in connecting with global innovation networks and driving industry transformation through chip technology.
