Canon Singapore Pte. Ltd. announces the much-awaited return of the Canon PhotoMarathon, set to reinvigorate the photography scene on the streets of Singapore. After a five-year break, this celebrated event will be held on 28 September 2024, welcoming photographers of all ages and abilities to partake under the theme “Every Lens, Every Age.”

A celebration of diversity and creativity

This year’s Canon PhotoMarathon champions the diversity of the photographic community, inviting participants from varied backgrounds and skill levels. The competition format includes multiple two-hour slots for submitting themed photographs, compelling participants to think swiftly and creatively.

“We’re thrilled to see the Canon PhotoMarathon return, and we can’t wait to witness the creativity that emerges from this event. It’s not just about taking photos; it’s about preserving moments, telling stories, and connecting with a community that shares a love for capturing the world through a lens. If you have a love for photography, make this #yourCanonEventSG,” says Mr. Andrew Koh, Vice President and Head of Singapore Operations Group, Canon Singapore.

Rich prizes on offer

The event promises substantial rewards, with prizes totalling up to S$47,000. In both the Open and Student categories, top prizes include Canon’s latest photographic equipment. The main prize in the Open Category is an EOS R6 Mark II Kit along with a PIXMA TS8370a printer, worth over S$4,000 in total. Other victors will receive various Canon kits, enhancing their photographic pursuits.

This gathering is an opportunity for photographers to reconnect, exchange passions, and inspire each other. It’s a celebration of the core reason we all take photos: to capture and preserve meaningful moments and memories. By joining, photographers of every generation contribute to a dynamic and flourishing community, ensuring the craft’s ongoing vitality in Singapore.
