GameSir launches G7 Pro controller with tri-mode connectivity and pro-grade features

GameSir has announced the launch of the G7 Pro, a next-generation multi-platform controller designed to deliver high performance, precision, and customisation across Xbox, PC, and Android devices. Building on the success of its G7 series, the G7 Pro introduces several enhancements, including new Hall Effect triggers, GameSir’s Mag-Res TMR sticks, and versatile tri-mode connectivity.

Designed for smooth control and low-latency response

The G7 Pro offers a robust feature set aimed at competitive and casual gamers alike. It supports wired connectivity for Xbox, wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes for PC, and Bluetooth for Android devices. A physical mode switch enables users to move between platforms easily, while a detachable cable retainer ensures stability during wired play.

At the heart of the controller’s performance is the Mag-Res TMR stick technology. This innovation combines the power efficiency of traditional potentiometers with the durability of Hall Effect sensors, helping to reduce drift and provide smoother control. GameSir claims this is the first Xbox-licensed controller with TMR sticks, offering improved response time and consistent control. When connected to a PC using either wired or 2.4GHz wireless, the G7 Pro delivers a 1000Hz polling rate for low-latency gameplay.

The Hall Effect analog triggers further improve control accuracy, offering linear input ideal for titles that demand precision. These are paired with tactile Micro Switch trigger stops that can be customised for different trigger sensitivities, including a Hair Trigger Mode for rapid-fire scenarios.

Tailored gameplay with programmable buttons and haptic feedback

The G7 Pro includes four programmable macro buttons: two mini bumpers (R5 and L5) and two back buttons (R4 and L4) that can be locked. These allow players to map their controls based on individual playstyles. A built-in gyroscope, available for PC use only, adds another layer of control, enabling movement-based inputs.

Durability is a key focus of the design. The controller uses Optical Micro Switches for the ABXY buttons and a mechanical Micro Switch for the D-pad, offering tactile feedback and long-lasting reliability. Four independent rumble motors—located in each grip and trigger—deliver immersive haptic feedback to enhance the gaming experience.

The controller also supports personalisation. It features a magnetic, swappable three-part faceplate, which is compatible with faceplates from previous G7 models. Two extra D-pads are included in the package, giving players more ergonomic options.

Additional accessories and software support

The G7 Pro comes bundled with a Smart Auto Start-Stop Charging Station that includes a 1200mAh battery, supporting extended wireless play. The charging station also features a storage bay for the wireless receiver, helping users stay organised. Audio support is included through a 3.5mm headset jack, available on both wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes.

To further enhance usability, the controller integrates with the new GameSir Nexus 2.0 software. This platform offers a range of customisation tools, including gyroscope settings, stick curve tuning, and button remapping to mouse functions.

The G7 Pro is priced at US$79.99 or £79.99 and is available now via Amazon, Best Buy, and the GameSir official website. It supports Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Steam, and Android devices.
