H3 Zoom secures US$1.8 million in Series A funding led by JRE Ventures

[output_post_excerpt]

H3 Zoom, a Singapore-based deep tech company specialising in AI-powered inspection and asset management for critical infrastructure, has raised US$1.8 million (approximately S$2.3 million) in the first closing of its Series A round. The funding was led by JRE Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of JR East, with participation from SGInnovate and M7 Holdings.

The investment will enable H3 Zoom to expand its footprint across Asia, focusing on Japan and Hong Kong while strengthening operations in Singapore. The funds will also support product research and development and the growth of its engineering and go-to-market teams.

Founded in 2016, H3 Zoom leverages proprietary vision language models and robotics-based data capture to help asset owners reduce costs, enhance safety, and extend the lifespan of buildings and infrastructure. Its technology is already used across multiple properties and transport assets in Singapore, transforming manual inspections into scalable, data-driven processes.

“This funding allows us to turn building data into actionable maintenance decisions at scale—shortening inspection cycles, reducing rectification costs, and improving public safety,” said Shaun Koo, CEO and Founder of H3 Zoom. “With JRE Ventures, SGInnovate, and M7 Holdings, we’re doubling down on high-precision AI, seamless enterprise integrations, and regional expansion.”

Driving transformation in infrastructure management

Junichi Eto, Managing Director at JRE Ventures, highlighted the alignment between H3 Zoom’s technology and JR East Group’s infrastructure goals. “H3 Zoom embodies the next generation of social infrastructure transformation through the power of AI. For the JR East Group, ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of diverse assets — including railways, stations, commercial facilities, and hotels — is a shared priority. H3 Zoom’s technology directly contributes to addressing these challenges,” said Eto.

He added that JRE Ventures aims to support H3 Zoom’s business expansion and proof-of-concept activities in Japan while exploring broader collaboration opportunities across Southeast Asia.

SGInnovate’s Executive Director of Investments, Hsien-Hui Tong, stressed the importance of supporting deep tech startups. “SGInnovate is committed to supporting Singapore-based deep tech startups as they scale beyond our shores. H3 Zoom is a strong example of how AI-powered innovations can effectively address critical global challenges in infrastructure safety, resilience, and sustainability,” said Tong.

Anthony Manna, Chairman of M7 Holdings, noted, “Shaun’s vision to transform the entire building lifecycle to a more sustainable, efficient and safer process aligns with M7’s goal to support companies and founders that create sustainable solutions for some of the world’s most pressing problems.”

Real-world impact in Singapore

H3 Zoom’s AI-powered inspection platform has already delivered measurable results across several CapitaLand properties in Singapore, including Raffles City Singapore, Plaza Singapura, IMM, Bukit Panjang Plaza, and Techplace I and II. By using drones and automated defect analytics, CapitaLand’s asset management team achieved faster report turnaround times, reduced operational costs, and improved safety by minimising work-at-height risks. The platform also standardised reporting for Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Periodic Façade Inspection submissions, offering greater consistency and traceability.

These results highlight how AI and automation can enhance operational efficiency while supporting Singapore’s broader push for smart and sustainable infrastructure management.

Looking ahead

With fresh funding, H3 Zoom plans to accelerate SaaS growth and market expansion in Japan and Hong Kong. The company’s roadmap includes launching an AI Engineering Co-Pilot, enhancing multimodal workflows that integrate 360° imagery and voice notes, and strengthening enterprise-grade APIs. It also intends to pilot robotics-assisted inspections to detect hidden defects more efficiently and safely.

In the long term, H3 Zoom aims to become Asia-Pacific’s leading operating system for inspection intelligence — a collaborative platform where data, partners, and actions work together to improve safety, quality, and operational performance.
