Lenovo introduces new ThinkPad mobile workstations and business laptops for the AI-ready workforce

Lenovo refreshes its ThinkPad lineup with new AI-ready mobile workstations and business laptops, enhancing mobility, performance, and security.

Lenovo has launched a refreshed range of ThinkPad devices designed to meet the needs of today’s AI-driven workforce. Announced on 25 April in Singapore, the latest portfolio includes powerful Copilot+ PCs such as the ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 AMD and ThinkPad P16s Gen 4 AMD mobile workstations, alongside the new ThinkPad L Series business laptops. The company also expanded its ThinkPad X1 Aura Editions, aiming to offer performance, manageability, and intelligence for modern professional workflows.

The launch reinforces Lenovo’s commitment to smarter, more adaptive solutions that align with advanced workloads, sustainable practices, and flexible working models.

Rob Herman, Vice President, Worldwide Workstation and Client AI Business at Lenovo, said, “Lenovo is defining the new era of AI computing for professionals with advanced workstation solutions that empower the workflows for people that design and build amazing things. With exceptional performance in a mobile form factor for compute-heavy, AI-driven applications, the newest ThinkPad P series workstations accelerate innovation and productivity.”

Tom Butler, Vice President, Commercial Portfolio and Product Management, Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group, added, “The latest ThinkPad L series portfolio reflects how we design for the real needs of business users — from creative professionals and knowledge workers to remote teams and large enterprises. Whether you need mobile workstation power or scalable productivity, Lenovo is delivering the flexibility and intelligence required to thrive in the AI era.”

New ThinkPad P series delivers powerful AI-ready mobile workstations

Lenovo’s new ThinkPad P14s AMD and P16s AMD mobile workstations are built for professionals who need high performance in a lightweight form. The ThinkPad P14s AMD, weighing 1.39kg and measuring 16.13mm thin, is the thinnest and lightest mobile workstation in the Lenovo lineup. The ThinkPad P16s AMD combines portability with premium performance, targeting engineers, architects, educators, and students.

Powered by AMD Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series processors, offering up to Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370 with 5.1GHz speeds and 12 cores, the devices support up to 50 NPU TOPS. These processors enable AI-enhanced productivity and seamless multitasking. Built on AMD’s “Zen 5” technology with integrated RDNA 3.5 graphics, the workstations provide strong performance without compromising battery life, supported by up to 96GB of memory.

Both models are Copilot+ PCs, designed to accelerate AI-powered workflows and improve responsiveness. Thanks to a unified memory architecture, up to 75% of system memory can be allocated to the GPU, boosting performance for graphics-intensive tasks. Certified graphics drivers from key ISVs offer reliability for industry applications. With up to 82 TOPS of heterogeneous AI processing, the P14s and P16s easily handle tasks such as document management, email responses, virtual meetings, and content creation.

ThinkPad L series updated for productivity and sustainability

The redesigned ThinkPad L13 Gen 6 and L13 2-in-1 Gen 6 laptops are available in clamshell and convertible 2-in-1 formats. They feature a smaller footprint, an 84.7% screen-to-body ratio, and a new communication bar with a 5MP + IR camera. Select 2-in-1 models also include a world-facing camera to support content capture on the go.

Display options have been improved with 400 nit panels for better visibility, and the top cover is made from 50% recycled aluminium for a more sustainable design. Expanded connectivity includes dual Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and an optional Smart Card reader. The L13 2-in-1 Gen 6 model also features a built-in garaged pen for notetaking and sketching.

The ThinkPad L14 Gen 6 and L16 Gen 2 offer updated performance on Intel and AMD platforms. These devices provide flexible configurations suitable for large deployments or specific business needs. Enhanced features include brighter displays and greater configuration options to match various environments.

All L series models benefit from the latest Intel Core Ultra 200U and 200H processors with Intel vPro, or AMD Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series processors, supporting up to 64GB of memory and up to 2TB of SSD storage on L14 and L16 models. The L13 Gen 6 and L13 2-in-1 Gen 6 models support up to 32GB of memory and up to 1TB of SSD storage, catering to a wide range of use cases.

Premium enhancements in the X1 Aura Editions

Lenovo has expanded its premium portfolio with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition and ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition. These models are now available with Intel Core Ultra 200U and 200H processors and Intel vPro technology.

Designed for elite mobility, the new Aura Editions maintain ultra-light chassis designs, high screen-to-body ratios, and enhanced collaboration features powered by Lenovo View and Dolby Atmos audio. These additions promise improved responsiveness and power efficiency, while retaining the security and manageability features that IT teams expect from the ThinkPad X1 series.

The new ThinkPad range also includes various software enhancements such as Lenovo Commercial Vantage and Lenovo View, offering personalised device management and AI-enhanced video call features. ThinkShield security solutions remain central, providing BIOS-level protections, secure wipe options, and integrated privacy controls.

With its latest range, Lenovo is aiming to redefine mobile productivity and collaboration in a world increasingly driven by AI, offering businesses and professionals smarter tools designed for a more flexible future.
