Logitech G512 X introduces analog control and modular switching to gaming keyboards
Logitech G512 X adds analog input and modular switches, enabling pressure-based controls and custom keyboard configurations.
Logitech G has introduced the G512 X TMR Analog/Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, positioning it as a configurable system built around analog input and modular hardware design. The keyboard combines magnetic analog switches with traditional mechanical options, allowing users to tailor input behaviour at a per-key level.

The G512 X centres on a shift away from binary keystrokes. By integrating Tunnel Magneto Resistance (TMR) sensor technology, the keyboard enables input based on actuation depth, allowing different actions to be mapped depending on how far a key is pressed. This approach targets use cases such as flight simulators, racing titles, and tactical shooters where control precision can vary within a single keypress.
Analog input meets modular hardware design
At the core of the G512 X is what Logitech G calls Dual Swap capability. The keyboard supports both analog and mechanical switches across 39 hybrid switch positions, and ships with nine Gateron KS-20 magnetic analog switches. Users can combine switch types within the same layout, including 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical options, enabling customisation that typically sits within enthusiast keyboard builds.
This modular approach extends to input behaviour. Through Logitech G HUB software, users can assign two separate actions to a single key based on pressure depth. The system uses Second Actuation Pressure Point (SAPP) rings to create a tactile distinction between input thresholds. For example, a light press can trigger one command, while a deeper press activates another, allowing more complex actions without increasing key count.
Logitech G positions this as a way to reduce reliance on multi-key combinations, particularly in fast-paced scenarios where reaction time and input efficiency are critical.
Performance and control focus
The keyboard also introduces what Logitech G describes as True 8K performance. This includes an 8K polling rate, 8K reporting rate, and 8K processing, resulting in a stated end-to-end latency of 0.125ms. Combined with TMR sensors, the aim is to reduce delay between physical input and system response.
Additional hardware controls include dual programmable dials, designed to provide quick access to custom functions or system controls. The keyboard also features an RGB lightbar integrated into a PVD-coated chassis, alongside optional accessories such as an acrylic palm rest designed to enhance comfort and visual output.
Storage is built into the keyboard chassis, allowing users to keep tools and spare components, including keycap pullers, switches, and SAPP rings, directly within the device.
Robin Piispanen, Vice President and General Manager of Logitech G, said, “At Logitech G, we see a player’s setup as something that grows with them as they improve. With the G512 X, we combine craftsmanship with performance. This keyboard isn’t just a tool, it’s an extension of the gamer, giving you the control and precision to play at your best.”
SM Lahti, Global Product Marketing Manager at Logitech G, added, “The G512 X is our love letter to the gamers who mod their gear as much as they mod their games. It’s a design that pushes the entire industry forward, fundamentally changing the way gamers can interact with their gear and play their favorite titles.”
Pricing and availability
The G512 X will be available in 75 and 98 layouts, in both black and white variants. In Singapore, the keyboard will be available from 2 May 2026 through major retailers and the Logitech G official stores on Lazada and Shopee.
Pricing is set at S$279 for the G512 X 75 and S$299 for the G512 X 98. The optional acrylic palm rest is priced at S$59 for both sizes and will be sold online only.
