MLBB and OPPO crown regional champions at APAC Smooth Legend Cup

IDONOTSLEEP from Thailand and Maru Gamerpact Esports from the Philippines have been named champions at the MLBB x OPPO Smooth Legend Cup APAC Grand Finals, held over three days of competition. IDONOTSLEEP took the title of Legendary Team Champions, making a strong comeback to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) stage. The Thai team previously made history as the first winners of the MLBB Southeast Asian Cup, now known as the MLBB Mid Season Cup.

In the Grassroots Team competition, Maru Gamerpact Esports claimed victory after defeating five national champions across Southeast Asia. Representing the Philippines, the team emerged at the top among 882 registered teams, securing their place as the top grassroots talent in the region.

Singapore’s EVOS secured third place in the Legendary Team competition, proudly flying the flag for their country in a field of elite teams.

The Grand Finals brought together teams from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. The event showcased not only high-level gameplay but also the passion and excitement that MLBB esports continues to bring across the region. Former professional players from each country returned to the scene to form national teams and compete for a total prize pool of US$52,500.

IDONOTSLEEP entered the tournament as favourites, thanks to their legacy in the MLBB community. Their mixed-gender line-up and solid gameplay helped them secure the top prize in the Legendary Team category.

Meanwhile, Maru Gamerpact Esports earned the Grassroots Team Champion title after outperforming teams from across the region. The tournament highlighted MLBB’s commitment to developing emerging talent through competitive opportunities.

OPPO Reno13 5G supports all tournament matches

All matches were played using the OPPO Reno13 5G, a smartphone designed with high-performance gaming in mind. According to organisers, the device provided a smooth, lag-free experience, enabling players to focus fully on gameplay. The smartphone’s ability to deliver a seamless competitive environment reflected OPPO’s growing role in mobile esports.

The event closed with an official award ceremony attended by Andy Shi, APAC President of OPPO, and Eric Wu, Senior Partnerships Manager for Esports Ecosystem at MOONTON Games.
