Xiaomi today introduces to global markets its newly-announced “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem at MWC Barcelona 2024, redefining the boundaries of technology integration. Xiaomi SU7, serving as an integral element of the “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem, has debuted on the international stage, offering a glimpse into Xiaomi’s pioneering vision for an intelligent future where all user needs are seamlessly met within one smart ecosystem.

“At Xiaomi, technology will always be centered on humanity. Our innovation is designed first and foremost based on the needs of our users. “Human x Car x Home” embodies this, our commitment to providing comprehensive, better connected experiences. By integrating people, cars, and homes, we aim to create an end-to-end interconnectivity beyond anything available today,” stated Daniel Desjarlais, Director of Communications Xiaomi International, “We invite MWC attendees to discover first-hand how Xiaomi’s vision is transforming futuristic concepts into actualities by changing how we connect.”

Also exhibited were the newly-launched Xiaomi 14 Series and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4, along with a variety of advanced AIoT devices poised to elevate the smart living experience. The Xiaomi Imagery Technology area offers an up-close look at the integration of Leica’s state-of-the-art lens technology into Xiaomi smartphones, while CyberDog 2, demonstrates Xiaomi’s wide portfolio to visitors.

Advancing comprehensive interconnectivity

Xiaomi’s transition from “Smartphone x AIoT”, the “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem seamlessly merges personal devices, smart home products, and cars. This facilitates seamless connectivity of hardware devices, real-time coordination, and driving advancements, as well as collaboration with industry partners. Designed with a vision to adapt to your needs, this proactive ecosystem is designed to seamlessly adapt to your needs, both current and future.

More than just an open-source technological advancement, Xiaomi HyperOS features system-level innovation designed to foster unhindered cross-device collaboration and ensure consistent operations across areas of Xiaomi’s integrated smart-life platform. As the foundation of the “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem, it integrates over 200 product categories incorporating 600 million global devices, and covering more than 95% of user scenarios.¹ By engaging with global partners, developers, and manufacturers, Xiaomi HyperOS will empower the ecosystem to unlock and leverage an expansive range of possibilities.

Xiaomi EV’s first product – the highly anticipated Xiaomi SU7, is positioned as a “full-size high-performance eco-technology sedan” that pushes boundaries in performance, ecosystem integration, and the mobile smart space. Alongside Xiaomi SU7 design, Xiaomi has developed the five core EV technologies: E-Motor, CTB Integrated Battery, Xiaomi Die-Casting, Xiaomi Pilot Autonomous Driving, and Smart Cabin. Backed by a monumental investment of over CNY 10 billion RMB in R&D, and a global team of more than 3,400 engineers and 1,000 technical experts in key areas, Xiaomi has produced an outstanding vehicle.

Exploring mobile imaging mastery

Xiaomi believes in human-centric innovation, striving to deliver better and more intuitive mobile photography experiences to users while continuously driving development of the mobile imaging field. Through strategic partnership with Leica, Xiaomi has examined the essence of imaging and furthered the realm of professional humanistic photography. In the Xiaomi Imagery Technology area, Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the first smartphone jointly developed by the two companies, is showcased alongside other flagship smartphones.

The partnership between Xiaomi and Leica has achieved a significant milestone with the establishment of the Xiaomi-Leica Optical Institute, driving substantial progress in imaging technology and setting new standards for the photographic user experience. The newly launched Xiaomi 14 Series, featuring Leica Summilux optical lenses, is meticulously crafted with a solution for a next-generation optical system, providing unparalleled photography capabilities that excel in all-condition and scenarios.

Expanding robotics and manufacturing excellence

At MWC, Xiaomi presents a cutting-edge bio-inspired quadruped robot, CyberDog 2. With a fusion sensing and decision-making system utilizing 19 sensors for vision, touch, and hearing, this robot is designed to replicate the movements, appearance, and interactions of a real dog, exemplifying Xiaomi’s pioneering spirit and commitment to pushing the boundaries of robotics. The open-source nature of its technology underpins an ecosystem primed for customization and programming, unlocking limitless creative possibilities for developers.

Beyond pioneering tech products, Xiaomi continues to redefine manufacturing, positioning its smart factory at the vanguard of industrial innovation. In these centers of technological transformation, agility, operational efficiency, and precision emerge as the core tenets. The establishment of Smart Factory Phase II in Beijing’s Changping District underscores Xiaomi’s unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled quality and trailblazing innovation directly to the consumer.

Building for a sustainable future

Xiaomi is not only committed to providing high-quality and sustainable products and services to users worldwide but also places environmental protection and sustainable development at the core of its business strategy. Xiaomi has vowed to reach carbon neutrality by the year 2040 and has demonstrated transparency in its environmental endeavors by releasing its inaugural climate action white paper during COP28.

These significant milestones align with Xiaomi’s active engagement in vital sustainability initiatives, such as the GE100% initiative, advocating for widespread adoption of renewable energy, and a robust electronic waste recycling program. Supporting its mission to operate sustainably, Xiaomi has adopted a circular economy model with the goal of recycling 38,000 tons of electronic waste from 2022 to 2026. This concerted effort exemplifies Xiaomi’s holistic approach to bridging the gap between high-tech solutions and environmental sustainability, reshaping the tech industry’s role in fostering a sustainable future.
