The AQUOS R9, part of SHARP’s premium lineup, is designed for those who require high performance for content creation and multimedia experiences. It features the first internal vapour chamber cooling system in AQUOS smartphones, enhancing performance during intensive use. The device boasts a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 Mobile Platform processor and 12GB of RAM, facilitating smooth operation across data-heavy applications.

The R9 is equipped with a Pro IGZO OLED display, 6.5 inches in size with Full High Definition Plus (FHD+) resolution and a variable refresh rate of up to 240Hz. Its peak brightness reaches 1,500 nits, and it supports Dolby Vision for vibrant visuals. The audio experience is amplified by the largest box of stereo speakers in the Aquos series, featuring Dolby Atmos technology. Its camera system includes an Optical Image Stabiliser and a triple 50 MP AF camera setup, suitable for various photography needs.

Miyake Design’s influence is evident in the R9’s eco-friendly build using recycled aluminium and elegant design, which ensures it meets military standards for durability. The device also introduces Generative AI for summarising and displaying voice messages, a handy feature for professionals.

This model is part of SHARP’s essential range and utilises about 60% recycled plastic in its body and 100% recycled aluminium for the side keys. It also features a low-VOC paint to minimise air pollution.

The wish4 boasts a 6.6-inch reinforced glass display that is shatter-resistant and conforms to military standards for resistance against water, dust, and shocks. Its 5,000-mAh battery offers extensive usage times, reducing the need for frequent charging. The camera has an AQUOS ProPix lite image quality engine that produces sharp images in various lighting conditions.

Additionally, the wish4 includes user-friendly features such as Junior Mode and Simple Mode, enhancing accessibility for all ages and offering a nuisance call function to block suspicious numbers.

Availability and pricing

The AQUOS R9 and wish4 will be available for purchase from SHARP’s CocoroLife e-store, Shopee, Lazada, and selected retail outlets, including Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, Gain City, and other dealers across Singapore. They are priced at S$1,099 and S$269, respectively.
