Square Enix brings classic JRPGs to Apple Arcade this winter

Square Enix brings Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake)+ and Trials of Mana+ to Apple Arcade this winter, alongside new exclusive titles.

If you’re a fan of classic JRPGs, Apple Arcade has exciting news for you. Between December 9, 2024, and January 9, 2025, two legendary Square Enix titles, Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake)+ and Trials of Mana+, will join the platform. Apple’s subscription gaming service will bring these beloved games with exclusive features tailored for mobile devices.

Experience a revitalised Final Fantasy IV

Releasing on December 9, Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake)+ has stunning updated graphics, smoother gameplay, and voice acting for pivotal event scenes. Initially released in 1991, this iconic entry in the Final Fantasy series was the first to introduce the much-loved Active Time Battle (ATB) system. The Remake retains its compelling story and memorable characters while enhancing the experience for modern players. Whether revisiting the game or playing for the first time, this version promises an engaging journey.

Trials of Mana+ arrives in January

Mark your calendars for January 9, 2025, as Trials of Mana+ debuted on Apple Arcade. This vibrant 3D Remake of the classic game offers several features designed for smooth gameplay on iPhones and iPads. With options like auto-target, auto-camera, and even auto-battle, you’ll find it easier than ever to navigate the lush world of Mana. Whether you’re drawn in by the thrilling combat or the enchanting story, this updated version is tailored for new and long-time fans.

More Square Enix classics and exclusive titles are coming soon

In addition to these two iconic games, Apple Arcade will feature other Square Enix favourites. A remaster of the original Final Fantasy+ and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years will soon join the lineup. The latter continues the story of Final Fantasy IV, introducing new heroes like Ceodore, the son of Cecil and Rosa, alongside returning favourites.

Apple Arcade isn’t stopping there. Over the coming months, you can expect a mix of new games, exclusive releases, and award-winning App Store titles. Highlights include Boggle: Arcade Edition, Pac-Man 256+, Hot Wheels: Race Off+, and Barbie Color Creations+, which launch on December 5. If you’re exploring Apple Vision Pro, titles like Little Cities: Diorama and Gears & Goo will also be available.

Apple Arcade continues to grow, offering a variety of games across genres. From JRPG classics to casual favourites, the platform ensures something for everyone. With these Square Enix titles and other exclusives on the horizon, now is a great time to explore what Apple Arcade offers.
