Counter-Strike 2 tournament to thrill fans at XM Studios Esports Hub this weekend

Experience esports action at the Counter-Strike 2 tournament in Singapore this weekend. Live matches, fan activities, and big prizes await!

Prepare for an action-packed weekend as Singapore hosts an exciting Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament at the XM Studios Esports Hub. With the Blast Premier World Finals 2024 wrapping up just a month ago, another thrilling CS2 event is set to energise the local esports scene.

The eXTREMESLAND 2024 Singapore Open Qualifier runs from November 28 to December 1, giving 16 teams a chance to showcase their skills. This tournament will follow a single-elimination format, with all matches being best-of-1 games. Each participating team must feature at least three Singaporean players or belong to a Singapore-based esports organisation.

A packed schedule for esports enthusiasts

The tournament starts on November 28, with matches running from 5 pm to 10 pm. From these, the top 8 teams will advance to the group stage at Elixir Esports in Holland Village.

  • Group A will compete on November 29, with matches scheduled from 5 pm to 11 pm.
  • Group B follows on November 30, with games running from 11 am to 7 pm.

The stakes will rise on December 1 as the top four teams head to the XM Studios Esports Hub at Kitchener Complex for the final stage. Matches will be held from 11 am to 8 pm, and the winner will earn a fully sponsored trip to Shanghai to compete against the best CS2 teams in Asia for a share of the US$100,000 prize pool.

Excitement for fans at the venue

Fans attending the tournament can enjoy more than just the matches. A fan village will feature a lively viewing area, with food and drinks available for purchase. For those feeling competitive, a CS2 shooting challenge will offer exciting prizes, including T-shirts, Red Bull Singapore cans, Elixir Esports merchandise, and ZOWIE gaming gear.

This weekend promises to be a thrilling showcase of esports talent, with Singapore’s best teams battling it out in the spotlight. Whether you’re a die-hard CS2 fan or simply curious about the vibrant world of competitive gaming, this event is for you.
