GameSir launches X5s wireless controller with tri-mode connectivity

GameSir launches the X5s controller with tri-mode connectivity, Hall Effect sticks, HD rumble, and cross-platform support.

GameSir has introduced the X5s Wireless Mobile Game Controller, designed for multi-platform use and enhanced precision. Building on the earlier X5 Lite model, the X5s offers tri-mode connectivity, Hall Effect sticks, HD rumble, motion control, and swappable ABXY layouts, all in a lightweight and portable design. The controller is now available for US$49.99 and £49.99 through Amazon US, Amazon UK, Best Buy, and the GameSir website.

Designed for compatibility and portability

The X5s supports Bluetooth, USB-C wired, and 2.4GHz wireless connections, with the dongle sold separately. It is compatible with Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Android, iOS, and PC. The controller can fit devices measuring between 105 mm and 213 mm in length, making it suitable for a wide range of smartphones and handheld consoles. At just 174 grams, it is highly portable and comes with a durable PP storage case for travel protection.

Precision control and immersive features

At the core of the X5s are Hall Effect sticks that use non-contact magnetic sensors. This eliminates stick drift and ensures smoother 360-degree control, extending durability to up to two million cycles. The Hall Effect triggers offer precise input and include a hair trigger mode for competitive gameplay, activated by pressing M+LT/RT.

To enhance immersion, the controller includes dual HD rumble motors built into each grip, delivering detailed haptic feedback for various in-game actions. For Nintendo Switch users, a 6-axis gyroscope enables native motion control, making aiming, steering, and movement more intuitive in compatible titles.

Personalisation and extra functionality

The X5s comes with physically swappable ABXY buttons, allowing players to switch between Xbox and Switch layouts using the included clip. Turbo functionality is available across the main buttons, triggers, and bumpers, giving players an added advantage in fast-paced games.

Optional FX5 and FX5 Lite thermoelectric coolers, sold separately, can be paired with the controller to help regulate device temperature during long sessions. The included GameHub platform provides access to PC emulators, cloud gaming, and game streaming, supporting both controller and touch inputs.

Players can customise the controller through the GameSir app, which offers firmware updates, trigger and stick adjustments, vibration tuning, and button testing. This ensures the X5s can be tailored to individual preferences.

Launching globally on 25 August, the GameSir X5s offers a portable and versatile solution for gamers who want full control across multiple platforms.
