Hitachi Vantara launches Hitachi iQ Studio to accelerate enterprise AI adoption

Hitachi Vantara launches Hitachi iQ Studio to simplify and scale AI deployment with no-code tools and enterprise-grade governance.

Hitachi Vantara has introduced Hitachi iQ Studio, a new software platform designed to simplify the creation, deployment and management of artificial intelligence (AI) agents and applications at scale. The solution builds on the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design and provides organisations with tools to operationalise AI faster while maintaining full control over data and compliance.

Making AI deployment easier for enterprises

As companies increasingly explore AI, many struggle to move beyond experimentation. Research from Boston Consulting Group indicates that 74% of organisations face challenges in operationalising AI due to talent shortages and process issues. Another study found that 62% of companies cite weak data governance as a major barrier. Hitachi iQ Studio aims to address these concerns by offering a no-code and low-code platform that enables secure and compliant AI development, even in environments without large data science teams.

Unlike fragmented cloud-only tools, Hitachi iQ Studio offers a fully governed, on-premises environment that allows businesses to retain sovereignty over their data. This approach supports industries that must meet strict regulatory and security standards. The platform’s architecture combines retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling rapid data access, automation and use of pre-built templates. These features simplify the process of building and deploying AI applications while maintaining enterprise-grade security and oversight.

“AI has evolved beyond experimentation, but many organisations still need the right foundation to scale it effectively,” said Jason Hardy, chief technology officer for AI at Hitachi Vantara. “With Hitachi iQ Studio, we are making AI more user-friendly and manageable by combining accessible tools with enterprise-grade performance and governance. The result is faster innovation, stronger oversight and a path to scalable, responsible AI.”

Combining enterprise infrastructure with AI innovation

Hitachi iQ Studio is designed to support both generative and predictive AI applications. It enables technical and business users alike to design, fine-tune and monitor AI agents with built-in evaluation and lifecycle governance tools. Through visual interfaces and integrated components, the platform reduces dependence on specialist AI talent and accelerates development cycles from idea to production.

The platform’s pre-integrated RAG pipelines unlock the value of unstructured data while ensuring that information remains secure and accessible across hybrid environments. It includes built-in blueprints for industrial applications such as predictive maintenance, operator-skill evaluation and fleet optimisation, enabling companies in sectors like manufacturing and logistics to deploy ready-to-use AI solutions quickly.

Jacob Liberman, director of enterprise product at NVIDIA, said, “As organisations bring AI into production, the ability to keep data secure, scalable and close to compute is essential for AI agents and other reasoning applications. By combining Hitachi Vantara’s enterprise data expertise with NVIDIA accelerated computing and software, Hitachi iQ Studio gives customers the performance, scalability and efficiency they need to build and deploy advanced AI systems at enterprise scale.”

Reinforcing AI infrastructure leadership

Hitachi iQ infrastructure, which includes Hitachi Content Software for File (HCSF), has achieved validation through the NVIDIA Enterprise Storage Certification programme. This certification confirms that Hitachi Vantara’s infrastructure meets the demanding requirements of large-scale AI and high-performance computing workloads. The company has also earned NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP) certification for cloud-native and service provider environments, demonstrating compatibility with the NVIDIA AI Enterprise platform.

According to Ashish Nadkarni, group vice president and general manager of worldwide infrastructure research at IDC, “The rapid growth and advancement in AI have left many enterprises struggling with scale, data governance and cost management – challenges that are compounded by a lack of in-house talent. Solutions like Hitachi iQ Studio, which can provide built-in templates and enhanced data visibility, represent an important step toward creating unified AI environments that help organisations overcome data silos, strengthen governance and turn AI experimentation into measurable business outcomes.”

Through Hitachi iQ Studio, the company aims to bridge the gap between AI innovation and operational scalability, offering enterprises a secure and efficient way to integrate AI into their business processes while maintaining governance and compliance.
