LG introduces 2025 QNED Evo with groundbreaking technology

LG unveils its 2025 QNED Evo TV lineup featuring new AI technologies and true wireless 4K viewing, enhancing the premium television viewing experience.

LG Electronics has announced the launch of its 2025 QNED Evo lineup, which features groundbreaking technology including a new wide colour gamut technology, true wireless 4K viewing, and AI-enhanced audio and video quality. The announcement came as part of LG’s strategy to bolster its presence in the global premium TV market with a focus on combining OLED innovations into its high-end LCD series.

The 2025 lineup showcases the new Dynamic QNED Colour Solution, a technology developed by LG to enhance the colour gamut of the displays significantly. This technology, which supersedes the use of quantum dots, allows for colours that are purer and more true-to-life by refining the light produced by the TV’s backlight. This advancement has led to the entire range being certified by Intertek for Colour Volume, which ensures the TVs display vibrant colours without distortion.

True wireless technology and AI enhancement set new standards

One of the standout features of the 2025 QNED Evo series is the True Wireless 4K technology. This feature, initially exclusive to LG’s top-tier OLED Evo models, has now been integrated into the QNED Evo lineup, allowing for high-definition, wireless content streaming that doesn’t compromise on quality or speed. The technology uses a separate Zero Connect Box that transmits video at up to 4K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring a seamless viewing experience.

In addition to hardware innovations, LG continues to advance its AI capabilities. The new α8 AI Processor included in the 2025 models improves AI performance by nearly 70 percent over last year’s models, enhancing both picture and sound quality suitable for ultra-large screens. This processor supports advanced upscaling, Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro for precise HDR effects, and converts 2-channel audio into a virtual 9.1.2 channel sound for an immersive audio experience.

Personalisation through AI and a new remote control

LG has also introduced the AI Magic Remote with the 2025 QNED Evo series. This remote features a new AI button that analyses viewing preferences to offer personalised recommendations for content and apps. Additionally, it supports Voice ID and a Generative AI Gallery for a customised user experience. Users can perform personalised searches with a long press on the AI button, which uses a large language model to provide tailored responses, such as movie suggestions for a trip to Paris.

The integration of webOS25, LG’s proprietary smart TV platform, further enhances the user experience by providing personalised services and content updates through the webOS Re:New Program, which promises updates for five years.

As part of its commitment to meeting customer demands, LG is also expanding its QNED lineup to include a range of sizes from 40 to 100 inches, catering to a broader audience looking for premium, super-large LCD TVs.

“Our renewed 2025 LG QNED Evo lineup inherits OLED’s differentiated picture quality along with a true wireless viewing experience and ultra-personalised solutions to deliver an outstanding super-large viewing experience that no other LCD TV can offer,” said Hyoung-sei Park, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.
