POCO, a favourite among young technology enthusiasts worldwide, launched the POCO M6 today. This budget-friendly smartphone features a pro-grade 108MP camera, a stunning FHD+ display, leading performance, exceptional battery life, and rapid charging capabilities. Encased in a sleek glass back, the POCO M6 offers advanced features that surpass expectations for its price bracket.

Angus Ng, Head of Product Marketing at POCO Global, stated, “POCO M6 breaks the stereotype that affordable smartphones cannot deliver a great overall entertainment experience. POCO M6 is a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to delivering exciting technologies at the most competitive prices for all the cool young people.”

Advanced camera for budding photographers

The POCO M6 is equipped with a professional 108MP main camera featuring a 1/1.67-inch sensor from Samsung, ensuring detailed images in all lighting conditions. The camera supports 3x lossless zoom and utilises the latest 9-in-1 pixel binning technology for ultra-clear photos. With a dual LED ring flash, the phone excels in nighttime photography, offering crystal clear night mode and portrait photos. Additionally, the POCO M6 captures brilliant HDR photos, portraying a wide range of tones for bright and vivid images.

The 13MP front camera has been enhanced to deliver clearer, more detailed selfies, especially in low-light conditions. POCO M6 introduces a soft-light ring that provides balanced lighting for natural-looking photos. It also includes an assortment of unique filters, such as vintage filmCamera and filmFrame options, enhancing the creative photography experience with real-time previews.

The POCO M6 features a large 6.79-inch FHD+ LCD display, presenting content with deep colour depth and sharp clarity. It uses AdaptiveSync technology to adjust the refresh rate dynamically, reaching up to 90Hz for a fluid gaming experience while conserving battery during video playback with a lower refresh rate. The fast 180Hz touch sampling rate enhances responsiveness, particularly in fast-paced gaming scenarios.

Equipped with wet touch technology, the device avoids accidental inputs from raindrops, and Corning Gorilla Glass enhances its durability. The phone also includes eye care technologies like fast DC dimming, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, Flicker Free certification, and Circadian Friendly certification, all contributing to a comfortable viewing experience.

At its core, the POCO M6 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset, crafted with a 6nm process for optimal efficiency. It combines two high-performance Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, alongside an Arm Mali-G52 MC2 graphics processor, delivering a powerful gaming experience.

Stylish design with practical enhancements

The POCO M6 showcases a stylish glass back design in Black, Purple, and Silver, offering a flagship-like elegance. It is impressively slim at just 8.3mm and provides a premium feel that is also durable and IP53-certified for resistance against moisture.

The smartphone boasts a high-capacity 5,030mAh battery with 33W fast charging, capable of reaching a full charge in just 70 minutes. Additional features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and flash notifications for enhanced convenience.

The POCO M6 is available in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants. During the early bird sale from June 13 to June 19, 2024, promotional prices start from S$179 for the 6GB+128 GB model and S$219 for the 8GB+256 GB model.
