Samsung introduces Galaxy Buds3 FE with AI and noise cancellation features

Samsung launches Galaxy Buds3 FE with AI, noise cancellation and 24-hour battery, starting 5 September 2025.

Samsung has expanded its audio lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Buds3 FE, an affordable addition to its range of wireless earbuds. The release comes shortly after the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7, which notably did not include a new audio device. The last major refresh in Samsung’s earbuds series was the Galaxy Buds3 Pro, introduced in 2024.

Features and design

The Galaxy Buds3 FE is positioned as a cost-friendly alternative to the Pro model, while still offering key features such as active noise cancellation and Galaxy AI support. According to Samsung, the earbuds are equipped with a larger speaker than the earlier Galaxy Buds FE, delivering deeper bass and clearer treble.

Enhanced ANC has been integrated to provide a more immersive listening experience, while Crystal Clear Call technology improves voice quality by separating speech from background noise. Microphone placement has also been adjusted, with the mics now positioned to face the user’s mouth for greater clarity during calls.

The earbuds also carry over the Blade-inspired design introduced with the Buds3 Pro, although the light strip feature found on the premium model has not been included. Despite the absence of this detail, the Galaxy Buds3 FE maintains the sleek, modern aesthetic expected from Samsung’s wearable range.

AI integration and smart functions

As part of Samsung’s wider ecosystem, the Galaxy Buds3 FE supports Galaxy AI when paired with a compatible Galaxy device. This includes access to the Galaxy AI Interpreter app, conversation-style instructions, and integration with “Hey Google” voice commands. These functions allow users to control playback, manage settings, and translate conversations hands-free.

The earbuds come equipped with three microphones and include a suite of sensors, including proximity, hall, touch, and pressure sensors. Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.4, with support for Samsung Seamless Codec, AAC, and SBC for stable and high-quality wireless audio.

In terms of durability, the earbuds are IP54-rated for dust and water resistance, making them suitable for everyday use, including light workouts and outdoor activities. They are also compatible with devices running Android 11 or later.

Battery life and availability

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Buds3 FE will deliver up to six hours of continuous playback with ANC enabled, and up to 24 hours of total use when factoring in the charging case. This makes them a reliable option for extended listening sessions, whether at home, during commutes, or on long flights.

The Galaxy Buds3 FE is scheduled to launch progressively starting 5 September 2025, although Samsung has yet to confirm pricing details. Industry observers suggest the earbuds may be unveiled alongside the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE, which is also expected to arrive earlier than previous models.

With this release, Samsung appears to be broadening access to its AI-powered features and premium audio technologies by offering them at a more accessible price point.
