Tesla refreshes Model Y for Singapore, adding new features and design updates

Tesla’s refreshed Model Y is now available in Singapore with an updated design, improved interior features, and enhanced performance.

Tesla has officially launched the refreshed Model Y in Singapore, bringing many updates to keep the popular electric vehicle competitive in the market. The Model Y, already one of the best-selling cars globally, now boasts a fresh design, enhanced interior features, and improved performance.

A sleeker design with Cybertruck inspiration

One of the most noticeable changes to the new Model Y is its updated exterior. The front and rear now feature a distinctive light bar, seemingly inspired by the design of Tesla’s Cybertruck. This gives the SUV a sleeker, more modern look, making it stand out from its predecessor. While photos suggest a stylish and refined update, the real test will be seeing it on the roads.

Enhanced interior with more comfort and tech

Tesla has introduced several upgrades inside the Model Y, many of which were first seen on the recently refreshed Model 3. These include double-layer glass for improved noise insulation, making for a quieter ride. The panoramic glass roof is larger, creating a more open and airy feel in the cabin. This roof is also silver-coated, which helps reduce heat and UV ray penetration, improving comfort in Singapore’s tropical climate.

Passengers will also enjoy customisable ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and a second-row display for those sitting in the back. For added convenience, the rear seats can now be folded with the push of a button, expanding the cargo space to an impressive 2,138 litres.

Two versions will be available at the launch

Tesla is offering two variants of the Model Y in Singapore. The standard version has a WLTP-rated range of 466km and a single motor producing approximately 295hp. On the other hand, the long-range model features dual motors delivering around 443hp and a WLTP range of 551km.

A high-performance variant is expected to be introduced later, adding more power and driving capabilities to the lineup.

The updated Tesla Model Y is now available to order via Tesla’s official website. Prices start at S$228,003 for the standard version and S$252,127 for the long-range model. These prices include the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) and are based on the bidding results from January 8. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in April.

Tesla’s refreshed Model Y brings key design, comfort, and technology improvements, making it an attractive choice for EV buyers in Singapore.
