World’s best Counter-Strike teams to compete in Singapore for a US$1 million prize pool

Singapore will host the Blast Premier World Final 2024 at Resorts World Convention Centre, featuring top Counter-Strike teams and a US$1 million prize pool.

Prepare yourself, Singapore. The world’s best Counter-Strike players are set to land on our sunny shores for an epic showdown at the Blast Premier World Final 2024. This major event, featuring a prize pool of US$1 million, will take place at the Resorts World Convention Centre in Sentosa from October 30 to November 3.

The Blast Premier World Final is expected to be Singapore’s most prominent esports event. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is backing the tournament following the city’s last significant esports event, the Dota 2 International, in 2022.

Top teams set to compete

So far, five elite teams have secured their spots at the World Final. These include NaVi, currently ranked number one globally, and other top-tier teams like Team Vitality, G2 Esports, Team Spirit, and FaZe Clan. Three additional teams will be announced by the end of September.

The tournament will also feature some of the world’s most exciting players, like Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, a rising star making waves in the Counter-Strike scene. Also confirmed are Copenhagen Major MVP Justinas “jL” Lekavičius and the world’s top-ranked player, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut. These names have dominated the global Counter-Strike landscape and will surely bring their best game to Singapore.

Defending champions ready for action

Team Vitality, the reigning champions, will be looking to defend their title. Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, the team’s French superstar, is particularly excited about competing in Singapore. “We’re looking forward to going to Singapore next month and playing against the best Counter-Strike teams. It will be amazing to be on stage in front of so many fans at the Resorts World Convention Centre. We’re expecting a lot of fun and some incredible Counter-Strike matches,” Herbaut shared in a recent press release.

An event for everyone

Whether you are a die-hard Counter-Strike fan or simply curious about esports’ excitement, the Blast Premier World Final promises to be an unforgettable experience. The event will allow fans to witness the highest level of play from the world’s best teams.

The Blast Premier World Final tickets will be available on Ticketmaster.sg. Prices start at S$38 for a single-day general admission and S$148 for a three-day pass.
