YouTrip integrates with Google Pay

YouTrip's new integration with Google Pay offers Android users convenient mobile payments with zero-fee currency exchange and a special celebratory cashback campaign.

In a significant development for Android users, YouTrip, a leading cross-border payments provider, has now added support for Google Pay. Announced on December 6, this integration allows users to link their YouTrip cards to Google Pay, enhancing the convenience of mobile payments. This follows YouTrip’s earlier integration with Apple Pay, which took place about four months ago.

The new feature is particularly beneficial for travellers and holidaymakers, offering them the advantage of YouTrip’s zero-fee exchange rates across more than 150 currencies globally. Users of YouTrip will continue to enjoy the platform’s standard features, including the provision of both a virtual and a physical card, and the ability to preload funds into their YouTrip wallet for use at payment terminals both domestically and abroad.

Caecilia Chu, Co-Founder and CEO of YouTrip, shared her excitement about the collaboration with Google Pay. She emphasised the alignment of this new partnership with YouTrip’s commitment to providing smart and effortless payment solutions. Chu also hinted at more innovative features in the pipeline that would cater to the evolving preferences of YouTrip users.

Adding your YouTrip card to Google Pay

Integrating YouTrip with Google Pay is straightforward, catering to the increasing preference for digital payments. Users can add either their virtual or physical YouTrip card to their Google Pay account. However, for added security, YouTrip recommends using the virtual card. The cards can be added by accessing the Google Pay app and selecting the payment method option, manually entering the card details or scanning the physical card. Once the details are verified, the card is ready for use.

YouTrip has made this process user-friendly and accessible, with detailed guidance available in its FAQ section. It is noteworthy that iPhone users have been able to use their YouTrip cards with Apple Pay since August 2023.

Celebrating with a special cashback offer

YouTrip integrates with Google Pay - 1

To celebrate its new Google Pay compatibility, YouTrip has launched a cashback campaign in Singapore. Named “Tap and ‘Trip It All Day”, the campaign is open to users who make digital payments through either Apple Pay or Google Pay. The first 8,000 users to complete ten mobile contactless payments via these services will receive a S$5 cashback, and an additional S$2 cashback is offered to those making their first mobile contactless payment with YouTrip. This campaign is in addition to the regular promotional offers available through the YouTrip app.
