100 women in tech power Singapore’s digital future as nation marks 60 years

Singapore honours 100 women leaders and 25 young achievers in the SG100WIT 2025 list, marking growing female impact in tech.

Singapore has unveiled the fourth edition of the SG 100 Women in Tech (SG100WIT) list, recognising women leaders and young talent who are shaping the nation’s digital future. The announcement was made on 29 August at Tech3 Forum 2025 by Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information and Patron of the Singapore Women in Tech (SGWIT) movement.

Organised by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) with support from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the SG100WIT list celebrates women who are driving innovation, leading key technology projects, and strengthening Singapore’s position in the global digital economy.

Recognising women leaders and young talent

This year’s list honours 100 women professionals alongside 25 achievers in the Girls in Tech category, which spotlights female students aged 13 to 35 who show strong passion for STEM and use technology to make a positive impact. The expanded recognition reflects the growing importance of inclusive leadership in building Singapore’s digital competitiveness.

Themed “Empowering Yourself, Inspiring Others”, SG100WIT 2025 attracted 635 nominations, including a record 110 for the Girls in Tech category. This marks the highest number since the category’s launch in 2021 and highlights the growing ambitions of young women keen to pursue careers in technology.

The honourees represent a wide spectrum of leadership roles, from Chiefs of AI and Heads of Technology Innovation to Directors of Cybersecurity. Their work spans public and private sectors, leading initiatives in areas such as AI governance, digital forensics, national security systems, blockchain, semiconductors, and computational science. Many are also distinguished academics, researchers, and alumni of leading universities.

These leaders are driving transformation across diverse industries, including healthcare, law, construction, and even space technology. Their contributions illustrate how Singapore’s female talent pool is shaping innovation across both established and emerging fields.

The Girls in Tech honourees reflect the next wave of talent. Coming from schools, polytechnics, universities, and the ITE, these young women are already leading societies, launching startups, and spearheading women-in-tech initiatives while studying. Their efforts cover areas such as robotics, computer science, AI, and STEM education, providing a glimpse into the nation’s future innovation landscape.

A platform for inspiration

Commenting on this year’s list, Tan Lee Chew, President of the Women in Tech Chapter at SCS and President of Smart City & Digital Solutions at ST Engineering, said: “SG100WIT is a celebration of women who are boldly shaping what’s next, not just through innovation, but through purpose. They’re leading with courage, designing with care, and building technologies that improve lives. Their impact inspires all of us to raise the bar.”

Dorcas Tan, Chairperson of SG Women in Tech and Cluster Director of the Human Capital Cluster at IMDA, added: “The achievements of this year’s honourees and the record number of Girls in Tech nominations highlight the tremendous progress women leaders are making in our tech landscape. From AI to cybersecurity, women are driving advances in deep tech and shaping Singapore’s digital economy. These role models create a powerful multiplier effect, inspiring the next generation to see technology not just as a career choice, but as a platform to shape our nation’s digital future.”

The SG100WIT 2025 list continues to serve as a platform that recognises the contributions of women leaders while inspiring younger generations to see opportunities in technology and innovation.
