Apple Watch Series 10 to feature larger displays; New plastic SE model in the pipeline

Apple Watch Series 10 will feature larger displays and new chips, while a plastic SE model could be introduced for a lower price.

Exciting news for Apple Watch enthusiasts: The upcoming Apple Watch Series 10 is anticipated to showcase larger displays. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman shared in his latest Power On newsletter that the new models will feature bigger screens than previous versions of the regular Apple Watch. One of the options may even rival the size of the Apple Watch Ultra. Additionally, the Series 10 is expected to be slimmer, enhancing its sleek design.

New health features delayed

Apple has been focusing on incorporating more advanced health features into its smartwatches. However, some of these features might still need to be ready for the next release. Tools for measuring high blood pressure and detecting sleep apnea are still developing. Gurman noted that “Apple has run into some serious snags” with these technologies. For instance, sleep apnea monitoring would require blood oxygen saturation measurements, a feature Apple cannot currently offer due to a patent dispute.

Affordable plastic Apple Watch SE

In other developments, a new version of the Apple Watch SE might launch this year. This model could come with a plastic shell instead of the traditional aluminum, potentially lowering the starting price. This change could make the Apple Watch SE more accessible to a wider audience.

Performance boost with new chips

New chips are set to be installed in the Apple Watch Series 10 models and the next-generation Apple Watch Ultra. These upgrades will boost performance, ensuring users experience a faster and more efficient smartwatch.

Stay tuned for more updates as Apple innovates and expands its smartwatch offerings.
