Maono P1 and P2 audio interfaces support recording across mobile, camera and desktop setups
Maono’s P1 and P2 audio interfaces support mobile, camera and desktop recording, with options for solo and two-person setups.
Maono has introduced the P1 and P2 audio interfaces for creators who record across computers, smartphones, tablets and cameras. Both models support audio capture at up to 24-bit/192kHz, direct mobile connections through USB OTG and three-channel stereo loopback, which combines microphone input with audio from a connected device during livestreams, podcasts and gaming broadcasts.
Table Of Content
The range is divided by recording scale. The P1 is designed for individual creators using one microphone and one instrument, while the P2 adds a second input and more connection options for interviews, co-hosted podcasts and other two-person productions. Both models include dedicated mute controls, separate adjustments for headphone and monitor levels, and 3.5mm outputs for connection to cameras.
P1 keeps the setup simple
The P1 combines one microphone or line-level input with a separate instrument input and a single microphone preamplifier. It provides up to 70dB of gain, giving it enough amplification for dynamic microphones that require a stronger input level, while Maono rates its equivalent input noise at -130.6dB.
Auto Gain sets the recording level automatically, reducing the need for manual adjustment before a session begins. The interface also has a dynamic ring around the gain control to show level changes, along with a 3.5mm headphone output for monitoring and a separate camera output.
This configuration makes the P1 the simpler option for solo recording, particularly where one microphone, one instrument or a mobile device forms the centre of the setup.
P2 supports two-person production
The P2 uses two combination inputs, each of which can accept a microphone, line-level source or instrument. Its two microphone preamplifiers provide up to 56dB of gain, with an equivalent input noise rating of -129.5dB.
The additional input allows two speakers or instruments to be recorded at the same time, while both 3.5mm and 6.35mm headphone outputs support a wider range of monitoring equipment. Separate 3.5mm outputs are provided for cameras and phones, giving the interface more flexibility across mobile and video production.
An additional USB power input allows the P2 to draw power independently from the device carrying the audio connection. This can be useful when recording through a smartphone or tablet, where the main connection may provide limited power. Unlike the P1, the P2 does not include Auto Gain, and its gain indicator remains static.
Pricing and availability
The Maono P1 and P2 are available through Amazon US and Maono’s website. The P Series is listed at US$129.99, while both models are currently offered on Amazon US for US$99.99.
