New Nomad Stratos Band blends titanium durability with everyday comfort

Nomad launches the Stratos Band, a hybrid Apple Watch band combining titanium and FKM rubber for durability and everyday comfort.

Nomad has introduced its latest accessory for Apple Watch users, announcing the Stratos Band, a hybrid watch band that aims to blend durability with day-to-day comfort. The new band is designed especially for the Apple Watch Ultra, though it remains compatible with a wide range of Apple Watch models.

Design focuses on durability and comfort

The Stratos Band has been developed from the ground up, taking inspiration from Nomad’s previous Titanium Band and Sport Band. The outer links are made from Grade 4 titanium, known for its lightweight strength. To enhance durability, the metal components are coated with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) layer, offering additional resistance to scratches and general wear.

While the exterior focuses on durability, the band’s inner structure prioritises comfort. The interior links are lined with compression-moulded FKM rubber, a material commonly used in high-performance sports products for its flexibility and resistance to heat and moisture. This enables the Stratos Band to remain comfortable on the wrist even during extended wear.

Nomad has also refined the inner-link structure to improve airflow. The design features a subtle M-shaped contour that slightly elevates the rubber layer above the titanium frame. This prevents the metal from directly contacting the skin and improves ventilation across the wrist, helping reduce discomfort during exercise or warm weather. According to Nomad, this ensures that only the soft FKM material comes into contact with the skin, offering a more pleasant wearing experience.

Adaptable fit for various wrist sizes

To accommodate a wide variety of users, the Stratos Band includes two half-sized links. This allows for more precise adjustment compared to standard full-link watch bands, helping wearers achieve a more tailored fit. The design has been created to make the band suitable for both everyday environments and more active settings, such as gym workouts or outdoor activities.

Nomad states that the Stratos Band has been engineered to transition seamlessly between work, leisure, and exercise. By combining premium titanium with flexible rubber elements, the company aims to offer a balance between professional aesthetics and sports-ready performance.

Availability, pricing, and colour options

The Stratos Band is now available for pre-order on Nomad’s official website at S$239. Shipments are scheduled to begin on 28 October. Nomad has also confirmed that the band will be offered through its official online stores on Lazada and Shopee in the near future, giving users additional purchasing options.

Customers can choose from two hardware finishes — Black and Natural — and three colour combinations: Black, Ultra Orange, and Volt. While the band is designed for the Apple Watch Ultra, it remains fully compatible with all Apple Watch models from Series 1 to Series 11, as well as Apple Watch SE models.

With its blend of premium materials and practical, comfort-focused features, the Stratos Band is a versatile option for users who want a watch band that performs reliably across different situations.
