Newgen named a “Leader” in Forrester’s Q1 2025 content platforms report, earning top scores in 10 criteria and praised for AI-driven innovation.

Newgen Software, a global provider of AI-powered digital transformation solutions, has been named a “Leader” in the latest Forrester Wave: Content Platforms, Q1 2025 report. Authored by Cheryl McKinnon, the report highlights Newgen’s strong performance in several key areas of content management.

Top scores in 10 evaluation criteria

The Forrester report reviewed 12 leading content platform providers across 24 criteria, offering insights to help technology decision-makers choose the best solution for their needs. Newgen’s ECM platform, known as NewgenONE Contextual Content Services, earned the highest possible scores in 10 categories. These included crucial areas such as metadata management, search functionality, content migration, lifecycle management, intelligent data extraction, document generation, and digital process automation.

The report praised Newgen’s focus on innovation, stating that “Newgen continues its solid innovation strategy with a focus on AI, automation, and app design capabilities.”

For organisations in regulated industries or those managing complex content-centric workflows, Forrester recommends exploring Newgen’s platform. According to the report, “Organisations in regulated industries that have a complex set of content-centric workflows and want to explore AI-driven automation with governance guardrails should explore Newgen.”

The report further emphasised Newgen’s capabilities, saying, “NewgenONE provides a strong set of core content services, including search, lifecycle management, document generation, intelligent document processing, and app design/development tools. It provides solid migration tools and has a track record of migrating large repositories from legacy ECM suites.”
