The tournament follows national qualifiers across Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore, drawing more than 1,400 team registrations. OPPO states that this year’s prize pool is the largest for a campus-focused Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competition hosted by a brand, nearly doubling from US$52,000 previously.
Regional champions advance to finals
Eight teams will compete in the finals, with each country sending two representatives from their national selection rounds.
The Philippines will field NU Bulldogs and FAITH Colleges Bravehearts, with the former described as a collegiate team with multiple championship titles and the latter bringing experience from the MDL Philippines circuit. Indonesia’s representatives, Little Pikaa and Semangka, emerged from a field of 476 teams during the qualifiers.
Singapore’s TKP and Clarity Gaming enter the finals with different competitive paths, while Malaysia’s KPTM x Velocity will compete on home ground after progressing from local rounds. All teams will compete over four days to determine the overall champion.
Reno15 series anchors tournament gameplay
The OPPO Reno15 series serves as the official tournament device across both qualifiers and finals. The company positions the device as the technical foundation for competitive play, with hardware specifications aimed at sustained gaming performance.
Key features include a 120FPS display and a VC Cooling system designed to maintain stability during extended matches. The device also integrates a 6,500mAh battery, 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge, and AI LinkBoost 3.0 for connectivity. These specifications are framed around reducing performance drops during high-intensity gameplay scenarios.
Finals to include fan engagement and appearances
The Malaysia finals will include on-site activities alongside the competition, including product experience zones, meet-and-greet sessions, and merchandise giveaways.
The event will also feature appearances by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang personalities Soloz and Feekz. “I am excited to see these young university talents in action – this is their moment to shine, and I can’t wait to see the level of gameplay they bring to the grand stage,” said Soloz.
Feekz added, “Every legend starts somewhere, and this campus series is the perfect platform to witness the birth of the next generation of legendary players.”
The finals close a regional campus tournament cycle that positions university-level competition as a feeder stage for wider esports participation across Southeast Asia.
