Samsung’s new AI fridges help find lost phones and control smart homes

Samsung's new AI-powered fridges can help you find lost phones and control smart home devices with voice commands, making life easier and more connected.

Losing your phone at home can be frustrating, but Samsung has found a new way to help you locate it. With the latest Bespoke AI-powered refrigerators, you can say, “Hi Bixby, find my phone,” the built-in voice assistant will ring your device. What makes this feature even smarter is that Bixby can recognise different family members’ voices, ensuring the right phone is called.

But that’s not all. Samsung’s latest fridge models offer much more than food storage. They come with a nine-inch (23cm) home screen that allows you to control smart home devices. You can adjust the air conditioning or close the window blinds with a voice command. The system can even use real-time weather data to change automatically, keeping your home comfortable without you lifting a finger.

Samsung unveils new smart appliances

These innovations were showcased at a recent event in Seoul, South Korea, where Samsung introduced its latest range of home appliances for the year. The company is pushing AI technology further, aiming to offer a more connected and personalised experience across its product range.

From robot vacuum cleaners to washing machines, Samsung ensures all its appliances work seamlessly together. The company aims to strengthen its smart home ecosystem by making AI-driven convenience a standard feature. By doing this, Samsung hopes to maintain its market leadership and boost sales this year.

Connecting half a billion devices worldwide

Samsung is uniquely positioned as a leader in mobile technology and home appliances. The company uses this advantage to create a smarter, more connected user experience. With over half a billion devices sold globally yearly, Samsung wants to ensure its products work together effortlessly.

Moon Jeong-seung, head of Samsung’s digital appliance research and development team, believes expanding AI across devices will drive growth. As smart technology continues to evolve, Samsung is determined to stay ahead by making everyday life more convenient through its intelligent, AI-powered products.
