Google Pixel 9 Pro is set to launch in Singapore on October 24

Google Pixel 9 Pro launches in Singapore on October 24, starting at S$1,459, with 16GB RAM and a 48MP camera. Available at Google Store and retailers.

After much anticipation, Google officially launched the Google Pixel 9 Pro in Singapore on October 24, 2024. This flagship phone will be available with a starting price of S$1,459 for the 128GB model. You can choose from two storage options—128GB and 256GB—and select from four striking colours: porcelain, Rose Quartz, Hazel, and Obsidian.

For those eager to try the new device, the Pixel 9 Pro will be available through several official outlets. These include the Google Store, Amazon SG, Challenger, Courts, Singtel, Shopee, Lazada, and SprintCass (Airport). If you prefer in-person shopping, you’ll also find it at Challenger, Courts, Singtel, and SprintCass retail locations.

Why wasn’t the Pixel 9 Pro available earlier?

When Google introduced its Pixel 9 series, the Pixel 9 Pro was notably absent from the initial release. During the event, Google launched three different models—the regular Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro, and the larger Pixel 9 Pro XL—along with a Pixel 9 Pro Fold for those who prefer foldable devices.

The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL arrived in Singapore in August 2024, followed by the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in September. However, the Pixel 9 Pro was delayed for reasons Google didn’t publicly explain. Despite this, the arrival of the Pixel 9 Pro now completes Google’s lineup for the year.

Who is the Pixel 9 Pro for?

The Pixel 9 Pro is perfect for those who want the advanced features of the Pro models but in a more manageable size. It offers a similar experience to the Pixel 9 Pro XL without the extra bulk. The Pixel 9 Pro comes with 16GB RAM, a 48MP rear telephoto camera, multi-zone laser-detection autofocus, and a display with 3,000 nits of peak brightness—all packed into a 6.3-inch body, the same size as the regular Pixel 9.

One trade-off, though, is the battery size. The Pixel 9 Pro has a 4,700mAh battery, the same as the regular Pixel 9 but smaller than the 5,500mAh battery found in the larger Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The smaller form factor makes the Pixel 9 Pro ideal for users who value portability but still want the top-end performance and features typically found in Google’s Pro models.

Now that the Pixel 9 Pro is available in Singapore, users can look forward to experiencing its top-tier features firsthand. With its advanced camera system, powerful performance, and sleek design, the Pixel 9 Pro aims to deliver a premium experience in a more compact size. Its introduction completes Google’s 2024 lineup, giving you the chance to explore the full range of Pixel 9 devices and choose the model that best suits your needs.
