A Mac-like menu bar for iPads

One of the key changes expected in iPadOS 19 is a new menu bar that appears when your iPad is connected to a Magic Keyboard. This update is designed to make your iPad feel more like a laptop, similar to how macOS works. The news comes from tech tipster Majin Bu, who has shared details based on insider sources.

Another new feature likely to be included is Stage Manager 2.0. This updated version of Apple’s multitasking tool aims to make switching between apps and arranging windows much easier. When using a Magic Keyboard, you can move and resize windows more smoothly, giving you a better workflow and improved control.

iPhones with USB-C will get external display support

The iPhone won’t be left behind in this push for better productivity. If you have a newer iPhone with a USB-C port, you might soon be able to connect it to an external display. This will bring a new interface that works similarly to Stage Manager on the iPad.

While this might not give you a full desktop setup, it will allow you to extend your screen. You could use this to provide presentations, edit videos, or enjoy a larger view when watching content. However, depending on your device’s capabilities, there may be some limits—such as lower screen resolution or fewer apps running at once.

WWDC 2025 will reveal more big updates
